Been a long time since I been at the computer but I give yall a quick update on what's been going down. Thought I'd start a thread to see if any of you motherfuckers want to meet up or paint as I've been on the road for a while and could use some company. I can't access a computer very often but since I'll be traveling around quite a bit I'll update as I go, for whoever's interested. I quit my job in June I think, and trashed all my shit. Kept what I wanted and chucked it in the car and took off. Started in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I'll post up what I got since then in order... Got the whip ready at my home boy's house - Mid-June

Pretty simple, just continue the story by posting four words that somewhat make sense. Here we go, this story starts in....

So in the spirit of the Weigh In thread and how many of us are feeling social media like Facebook and Instagram cheapened relationships and all but killed conversation (you should really read it if you haven’t already)... and inspired by a comment from @Hua Guofang , I was thinking we’ve got enough OGs back on here to put our heads together and start sorting out who’s still missing. Maybe between all of us we can start tracking people down before they’re some are gone forever. As mentioned all over the place already, all accounts going back to 1999 are in the database and can be recovered. Just got to hit me up or email info@12ozprophet.com or DM @12ozprophet.com on Insta…

I've been building with the mods for the last couple weeks. First providing a heads up on that server migration and upgrade and after, on some stuff I'm working on to evolve the 12ozProphet brand, forum and community. I figured I'd take this discussion public, with the hopes that I might be able to get some feedback, insight and assistance from all you guys... TLDR Version: There is the biggest forum update in our history coming up next month, that will be the first major step to the rebirth / relaunch of 12ozProphet that will be taking place over the course of this year. I have a lot in motion already and a lot more mapped out that I'm working on, but co…

Maybe this will be fun or maybe it’ll just be depressing. Either way, pretty sure this is a new theme for a topic. Impressive considering we’ve been discussing, debating and shit posting on here since 1999. I’ve said more than a few times that the world feels more and more out of control and surreal these days. Maybe it’s because of how the pace of change seems to be accelerating at an exponential rate. Generally we call this progress, but is it really? Here’s a list of very prominent bits of everyday life that did not exist 20 years ago. What else didn’t exist 20 years ago? What existed as a part of everyday life 20 years ago, but does not exi…

So I'm sure you all have seen the hype and recent gains from bitcoin and other alt coins. I was able to grab small amounts of bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum when the upswing was starting. I would like to purchase some Ripple/ XRP but buying it is cunty as fuck. I think the easiest way to purchase XRP is buying it with LTC. If anybody has insight in this please chime in. Also when buying alt coins with other alt coins does that become a tax event? It never changed to USD so my assumption is that it's not a tax event. Meaning, I don't want to get taxed capital gains.

This will be another one of my long rants slash life story type posts, so if you don't already have a coffee, a hot tea or a beer in your hand, take a minute to go grab one so you can kick back and sit through it all. Maybe a quick bathroom break will do you justice as well. If you're still unable to sit still long enough to read all this, maybe you should go read my rant about social media and then come back when you've relearned a little long(er) format reading. Otherwise, enjoy another chapter in my 12oz diary... -------- Figured I had a quick minute to breath and thought it was past due that I hop in and pass along some …

this is Cap'n Pirate Face. She's a pitbull and afraid of her own shadow and squeaky toys. This is seriously the biggest pussy of a dog ever and I think its hilarious. The only thing she ever wants to do other than run in cirlces around me is lay on the couch and sleep. She also has this one really neat looking blue eye but after much expirimenting and messing with her under the influence of last nights substances it has been concluded that she is blind out of that eye.

i was going through my records earlier today and though i would take some pictures and try my hand at making a decent contribution to the ounce (its been a while). packaging is getting more and more out of hand these days so this kind of functions as a design/art/music thread all in one...maybe it can even lead to some trades amongst the collectors on here. here is one from the band i cant shut up about....baroness. i dig this one because of the inks they used and the stock of the jacket. its a super nice sleeve for a super awesome record. here is another super nice jacket for the latest torch 10 inch. on the flip of this is there is a painting of t…

NOTHING tastes quite like things cooked on a charcoal grill. With the lid closed so that smoky flavor gets into the foods. I find myself doing this once a week at least in this season. I grilled chickens today, and they taste even better as leftovers. I know even those of you who dont eat meat can appreciate. Tell us what you like to grill and what your methods are.

ok, here is casek and my idea. we was talkin and i wanted to make a thread to see how fast we could get it to 100 pages, thats somethig like 4000 posts. All you do is posts nonsense, no point. Only rule is you cant post right after yourself. There is no topic, so dont stick to one, talk to people if you would like, but just keep it going. I wanna see how long it takes to make it the biggest thread on 12oz Theo, 2blazzed, this is your calling, post all the pictures you want That, and try and keep the "views" and "posts" about even, that would be rad

Officially Official - The 12ozProphet Reunion Tee and the return of the 12oz Forum. 1 2 3 4 10

*IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU PURCHASE* The 12ozProphet Forum Reunion tee is being released as a celebration of the 12oz community as well as a nod of respect to key members that have contributed to its legacy. Further, the release of this tee is also intended to be a rallying cry… Many of us are waking up to realize what we’ve lost when we traded niche online communities like 12ozProphet for the easy to access, endless stream of bite sized content found on social media. We’re discovering that we’ve handed over ownership of our online relationships to mega corporations that continue to sell out our privacy and sel…

Think it’s been far too long since we had a travel pic thread and since I’m all for generating new content on here and avoiding the “back in the days” nostalgia thought I’d put my photos where my mouth is. It was a gloomy rainy day last April when I looked at flights. And since I have the right combo of a bit of spare cash and a TOTAL lack of long term planning Ibooked some flights for last September to Japan. The plan was to fly to Tokyo, then to Okinawa for one week where we would drive around, and then to Osaka before flying home from Tokyo. This way we hoped to combine Japanes-y stuff ( for me) with tropical warmth (my wife), J…

We recently posted a screen shot of the OG 12oz Forum on our Instagram (@12ozprophet) and it got me thinking we should see if we can rally as many OG heads as possible up for a reunion when the new forum launches. Only reason shit sucks now is because nobody is around, which obviously self perpetuates itself. Wondering if we got a sizable number of old members back on for a minute, if we might be able to establish the critical mass to tip shit back over and get thing popping again? Any suggestions or ideas? Likewise, if you're still in touch with old members via email, Instagram or whatever, that could help the process out. Wondering if you guys wouldn't mind putting…

Great/Noteable Moving Pictures~ PLEASE OBSTAIN FROM POSTING STUPID CORNY NON-SENSE Such as "huhuh,Remember that part in American Pie,huhuh"... Big box office releases are really not worth recommending, unless exceptional , or particular to the interests of the group... Reviewing "The Island" and "Batman Begins" is what film critics and newspapers are for... The purpose of this thread is to bring light to forgotten and/or Lesser-known movies..

I signed in to Facebook and scrolled around for the first time in a long long time and man it’s a fucking ghost town. the feed was about 8 “suggested for you” posts to every 1 actual post by someone on my friends list. I was looking up some old friends interested in see what they’ve been up to, but almost all of them have a abandoned their accounts too. The wall for just about every person I looked up was just Happy Birthday posts from their family members from the past few years. i guess this whole time I had just figured it was still going like it was when I left. Figured it was an ecosystem just churning along with people posting pics and status. Al…

Last night I had an idea I hadn't considered. We've all been funneled into using cell phones all the time. What was life like before cell phones and apps? Do any of you remember? Did life somehow suck without cell phones? Did the convenience eventually become overshadowed by novelty and entertainment? So last night I turned off my cell phone completely. I'm going to try to get through a few days without it soon (not today). I think if I can survive just fine without it, and I'm fairly certain that I can, I may just cancel the plan and hook up a land line to my house with an answering machine. How many of you cannot survive w…

Okay so we've all been reminiscing and LOLing in the 80's-90's MEMORIES thread... Definitely a blast from the past and good fun to look back on. A recent post by @SMdoubleXL(and her response) got me thinking that it would be way more fun to actually post personal photos, rather than skim shit off the interwebz. So in honor of the Oontz and the opportunity for laughs, I decided to start this thread and will even post the same photo for you all to make fun of. So the way this works, is you post a personal photo (bonus points if its the age before digital) and add a little background to it. Here's me in High School. I think it was about 10th grade, s…

Figured this one might be fun and perhaps a first. All of us are obviously mostly old enough to have a profession, if not be well into it. As I've mentioned elsewhere and also the basis of the Jekyll Island Group, I really think that as the forum grows, there's a profound impact we can have. Obviously there's already tons of long time friendships, as well as marriages and kids that came out of this forum. We've also seen how back in the days you guys would rally up and crush drawball and other forums. Would be awesome if we could find ways to network, connect and perhaps help each other out in other ways. If nothing else, it's interesting (I'm curious anyways), but maybe …

Giving first crack at this to the peanut gallery here on the forum... We are officially hiring several positions for both 12ozProphet and 12ozCollective. Link to job listings: https://12ozcollective.com/careers/ As all of you following along for more than a minute know, we quietly shifted into building out a screen printing facility about two years back. Well, I'm happy to say that things have been going super freakin well, despite the rest of the world being a dumpster fire and we're at the tail end of building two nice new buildings and have placed orders for two new auto presses and a grip of super high end manufacturing equipment th…

Since The Great 12oz Crash of 2009 I feel we need to start anew. I just finished Kafka's Metamorphosis, this was a perplexing read and made me feel a little like the main character. It's so easy to slip into the mundane. This is definitely on the re-read list for books to reflect back to. I also think I will dedicate an illustration and painting to this book. I'll post later when I get to it. Currently reading; I hope it gets scary!
