I am running CS3, and frequently get the following error message: 'Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document' And cannot open certain files. They are Photoshop files, created in Photoshop, and only used in Photoshop, and I am unable to open them - I am losing huge amounts of work and time

A few things I was lucky enough to see while checking out this exhibit which was pretty well done IMO. Went twice, had so much fun Saturday night and was able to score free tickets to come back and bring my wife who couldn't make it Saturday. Actually took flicks on Sunday, the last day of the exhibit. Complete list of Artists ect. https://beyondthestreets.com/pages/artists Personal fave both art, and general personality wise almost as soon as I walked in. Incase you haven't met him yet Futura 2000 is the man. Dude lives by his own rules very well. Probably should have shot more of the…

I learned about this yesterday on a podcast and started digging. Never heard of this term before but was vaguely familiar with the idea and have seen photos of stairways leading to walls, doors leading to nothing and maintained objects that serve no real purpose (hand rail where there are no stairs from skating days). Going to be posting what I find in the wild and anything especially interesting I stumble upon online. ——— About — Thomasson or Hyperart Thomasson (Japanese: Tomason トマソン or Chōgeijutsu Tomason 超芸術トマソン) is a type of conceptual art named by the Japanese artist Akasegawa Genpei in the 1980s. It ref…

So... This place used to be a fucking wicked place back in the day. It was a huge source of inspiration to me as an artist, and it really did feel like a sort of online community (albeit of hilarious wierdos at times). Then in 2007 or so life happened and I've been gone. I got old and the internet just kept getting bigger, scarier, and newer, and as any old person I was like "WTF". I missed the feeling of sharing and involvement that was had here at 12oz. Not really sure if anyone comes to The Babble anymore, which is fine. It can be the secret get-away from all the rest of the noise! This is "Your Art Thread - Volume 2". Cu…

Okay, so I've been trying to get a zine together for a while. I made some mockups that I printed myself but it took me way too long sticking pages together and shit. I currently have Scribus and Photoshop CS5. If anyone has experience with these then help would be appreciated. Or if anyone has downloads to good quality software for Mac, again, would be much appreciated. Any kind of tutorials, templates.. I've searched the net but maybe I'm just not searching hard enough. What I'm trying to do is an A5 zine, black and white. The only text will be on the front cover, maybe the back cover. Otherwise all the pages will be photos. Not sure how many pages but that doe…

I recently purchased a 3d printer. It's a Prusa MK3S, and I intend to get a resin printer (AnyCubic Photon Mono X) soon that can do higher detail prints. I don't, currently, know much about CAD or slicer software that is used to take 3d computer models and turn them into "sliced" models that can be printed in layers.... like a 3d printer does. My intention is to: Learn CAD. Make some art & practical parts. Learn how to cast metal parts, potentially using 3d prints to make molds for such casting. Learn how to do 3d laser scan and subsequent point field manipulation to make scans of real life 3d objects. I'm tagging you guys …

Simple blunt title instead of all the bullshit names people make that just turn the forum to a confusing mess of non-sense and rubbish. Notice to all you computer-lifers and herbs No kid shit... and lay off posting shit that better fits in pre-existing threads "Great" is a matter of perspective, so let's see where you stand. For example... taken in the "hobo grande hotel" under the FDR highway in Manhattan. New York New York

@Schnitzelbrought up a great point in the Beyond The Streets thread. Henry Chalfant's work will be on display in the Bronx Museum for a few months this winter. With that said, this is probably a must see for anyone visiting NYC. First off, about he Bronx museum. There are only 3 museums I really dig in NYC, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Queens Museum, and the Bronx Museum mostly because they tend to focus on living artists, or obscure artists. Blasphemy for an anarchist like myself since they're government funded but I have to keep it real, the museums are dope AF sometimes. First time I went to Bronx Museum was for Way…
