IOU
An oboe! I have to check them out. I don't think I've even heard of that wall in LA. Crazy cool. Have you been to those projects in east LA with all the murals? I'll try to post pics in a minute...not sure how many I've actually uploaded to Flickr. Both those bands are great. I've seen Vagabond twice(the other time @The Edison, perfect venue for them) and the banter in between the songs is great. I haven't checked East L.A. out like I should. Used to go to house parties there in the 90s but that's about it.

I'm not sure how safe it is for me to wander around over there on my own with a camera. I've done some wandering around South Central but most of those times I wasn't alone. qsysue
I love those wall of window shots (the brick building) cuz I like to try to see if anyone is visible in any of them. Once I was walking by a building like that downtown and someone was dropping glass bottles out a window, smashed on the sidewalk right where I was about to be. Welcome to downtown. Clothing for shorter men: Little Tokyo. This area is funny, it's right by the river and looks like a good place to dump a dead body: But if you walk around, all you'll see is about 5 different film shoots going on. More Little Tokyo: It's a nice area. Right next door to skid row.
IOU
You ever been to the Japanese garden right near that intersection? Kind of tucked away and there is also one at the hotel right up the street. Can't remember the name though, haven't been to that one. qsysue
I don't remember any gardens. Little Tokyo is interesting because a lot of the cool stuff there is all tucked away and you have to know it's there or just stumble onto it.
