I am running CS3, and frequently get the following error message: 'Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document' And cannot open certain files. They are Photoshop files, created in Photoshop, and only used in Photoshop, and I am unable to open them - I am losing huge amounts of work and time

Okay, so I've been trying to get a zine together for a while. I made some mockups that I printed myself but it took me way too long sticking pages together and shit. I currently have Scribus and Photoshop CS5. If anyone has experience with these then help would be appreciated. Or if anyone has downloads to good quality software for Mac, again, would be much appreciated. Any kind of tutorials, templates.. I've searched the net but maybe I'm just not searching hard enough. What I'm trying to do is an A5 zine, black and white. The only text will be on the front cover, maybe the back cover. Otherwise all the pages will be photos. Not sure how many pages but that doe…

So we all know the cars are not the only beautiful things you see when you're out there. Share any pics you've taken of anything other than graff. I like seeing bones and old cans, wildlife too; big fan of hawks

A few things I was lucky enough to see while checking out this exhibit which was pretty well done IMO. Went twice, had so much fun Saturday night and was able to score free tickets to come back and bring my wife who couldn't make it Saturday. Actually took flicks on Sunday, the last day of the exhibit. Complete list of Artists ect. https://beyondthestreets.com/pages/artists Personal fave both art, and general personality wise almost as soon as I walked in. Incase you haven't met him yet Futura 2000 is the man. Dude lives by his own rules very well. Probably should have shot more of the…

So... This place used to be a fucking wicked place back in the day. It was a huge source of inspiration to me as an artist, and it really did feel like a sort of online community (albeit of hilarious wierdos at times). Then in 2007 or so life happened and I've been gone. I got old and the internet just kept getting bigger, scarier, and newer, and as any old person I was like "WTF". I missed the feeling of sharing and involvement that was had here at 12oz. Not really sure if anyone comes to The Babble anymore, which is fine. It can be the secret get-away from all the rest of the noise! This is "Your Art Thread - Volume 2". Cu…

Simple blunt title instead of all the bullshit names people make that just turn the forum to a confusing mess of non-sense and rubbish. Notice to all you computer-lifers and herbs No kid shit... and lay off posting shit that better fits in pre-existing threads "Great" is a matter of perspective, so let's see where you stand. For example... taken in the "hobo grande hotel" under the FDR highway in Manhattan. New York New York

@Schnitzelbrought up a great point in the Beyond The Streets thread. Henry Chalfant's work will be on display in the Bronx Museum for a few months this winter. With that said, this is probably a must see for anyone visiting NYC. First off, about he Bronx museum. There are only 3 museums I really dig in NYC, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Queens Museum, and the Bronx Museum mostly because they tend to focus on living artists, or obscure artists. Blasphemy for an anarchist like myself since they're government funded but I have to keep it real, the museums are dope AF sometimes. First time I went to Bronx Museum was for Way…

What caps are considered best for throw ups, straight letters and pieces? I’ve experimented with fat caps, ny fats, Astro fat, and rusto stock caps. But typically for ME those have only been good for tags as far as my personal skill level goes being a newer writer. Honestly I just feel like my choosing hasn’t been best. If anyone has recommendations for what’s caps are best to not get as much over spray, thinner lines, etc.. it’d be much appreciated! -Seno

So part photo dump, part learning process and part inspiration to learn about the place I live: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles This is acceptable at most "real" taco trucks. Especially the ones in or around DTLA, just don't be complete ass about it. The fusion new school ones aren't too cool. Well depends on crowd and location. Sometimes dinner and a movie. Obviously look for trucks with big crowds. Now for some random flicks: Why? Because that's the Bank of America from the North Hollywood shootout. After seeing a documentary about I walked all the areas around where cops were getting shot up and all that. Can't believe…

Anybody make it to this show? What did you think? The 2011 show Art in the Streets was pretty epic! While there were some masters to check out, it, like most LA shows I go to, really feel like "selfie sets."

Hi guys, I've recently made a set of Photoshop actions to emulate infrared photography. Even if I find infrared photography fascinating, I didn't modified my DSLR to try the effect. So I made these actions instead. Would it be ok to post the link to the actions here? I would really like some feedback and what to improve. Thank you ?

Hi All, I am launching a new art commissioning platform that makes it easy for individuals and businesses to commission unique art from you guys We are also a Social Enterprise, this means we give 51% of our profits to benefit society. The issue is most people don't seem to know what a Social Enterprise is so we are thinking of just giving 51% of our profits to all the Artisans who are registered with us and who take our commissions. Most of these need support in any case. Could we get some feedback in terms of what you guys think would be better? This is the website https://www.commissionit.co.uk All the best

So Disney released the files needed to render one of the scenes from Moana here: https://www.technology.disneyanimation.com/islandscene The scene files are a 45GB download for basic scene and another 24GB for the animation for the Maya files. Disney uses an internal render engine called Hyperion but other than that they don't mention requirements outside of something that can read .mel files or whatever Maya is capable of exporting these days (I should really ditch Max and learn that, Max has just been getting clunkier over the years). The docs for the scene are some good reading even if you don't want / need a file that big to play with. …
