misteraven
Hard to really know what’s going on if you aren’t out there. Cool that we have a dude like @abrasivesaintthats actually at a hospital and can report, despite it likely being vastly different across hospitals and states. I gave up trying to sort this out. I’ve seen convincing videos from people that rolled up to and into NYC hospitals and showing them essentially deserted. I’ve seen videos showing people roll up to the same hospitals from a news report where they’re crying about being overwhelmed and then the next day is virtually empty. I’ve also seen a tweet from a NYT reporter claiming NYC is about to start burying people in the parks out there. Obviously extreme and I’d outright dismiss that from a regular person, but I’d like to think that a reporter from a prestigious paper wouldn’t be throwing out tweets like that lightly. I’ve also seen videos showing Ecuador literally stacking bodies in corners to get them out of the house and then setting them on fire cause nobody is picking them up. I’ve seen conspiracies from 5G towers still going up despite the shutdown to pretty convincing documents posted of some sort of massive pedophile sting involving just about every famous person you can think of. No idea guys, but I rarely leave the house anyways so social distancing comes natural. That said, it makes it easy and worthwhile to err on the side of safety. And @glorydaysquarantine and social distancing is the government infringing on rights. That’s beyond question if you simply think about it. They’re literally imposing fines for not staying home or for gathering in groups. Not sure how you can see it as anything but a violation of rights. The real question isn’t if they’re doing it, but if it’s justified. That’s a broader debate in my opinion. People have a right to be stupid. They also have a right to endanger their own lives. Your chances of dying of heart disease or cancer remains far more likely than this virus, yet people smoke and eat garbage. People staying home can flatten the curve if they’d like. But if other idiots rather party, I really have no issue with it if they’re all consenting adults. Not a lot different than unprotected sex to be honest. 1

You're right...I'm just very entrenched in the camp of keeping up the social distancing. And you're right about those choosing not to follow the social distancing, as they are adults wanting to go out. But i feel like they're endangering others. Maybe, but they'd only really be endangering others that are out already endangering themselves since people like you are sitting at home distancing. Cold, but thats a problem that fixes itself if its a real problem at all. 1

One of the biggest claims he made that I’d love to verify was mention that WHO was founded by the Rothschild / Rockefellers? That’s freakin scary if true. Also the guy mentioned (didn’t note the name) that heads up the WHO has a bunch of shady commercial ties and was involved in attempting to force vaccinations on indigenous peoples?
misteraven
Damn... Quote Backstage: the relationship between the Rockefeller Foundation and the World Health Organization, Part I: 1940s–1960s In recent years, there has been a growing debate about what role foundations should play in global health governance generally, and particularly vis-à-vis the World Health Organization (WHO). Much of this discussion revolves around today's gargantuan philanthropy, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and its sway over the agenda and modus operandi of global health. Yet such pre-occupations are not new. The Rockefeller Foundation (RF), the unparalleled 20th century health philanthropy heavyweight, both profoundly shaped WHO and maintained long and complex relations with it, even as both institutions changed over time. Mercer
In reality, there's not a single person that isn't essential. I might get a pass for now as I'm working in public safety now, but is me going into work more important than a dude with 4 kids going to work, considering the big picture here? That shit isn't even measurable, or quantifiable It's weird how we just think of the things we need like food, healthcare, gasoline ect. and consider those fields essential, but I need a bed now and can't go buy one. If someone asked me if it was essential I'd be like, well, more essential that a lot of this shit considered essential. The complexity of shutting down half the global economy and the fallout is going to be weird to see. A lot of these restaurants, retail shops, bars etc. that closed are never coming back. It's another massive problem we're slowly easing into. I'm hoping we don't have to wait until June before people are allowed to work. If you can make moves now do it. I see people actually getting hired out here in this mess.

glorydays
so the ineptitude of the trump administration is being clearly exposed through the pressers they're holding and let me ask, what happens when a bullshitter is caught lying? they get outwardly angry i now believe, and agree with @misteraven, that our rights will soon be trampled on by a show of force i only now agree because of how frustrated the administration is with the MSM during the pressers. It's gotten to the point that trump is fucking bringing on laura ingraham to collaborate and to push malaria medicine as the cure for corona A GODDAMN FOX NEWS REPORTER IS PUSHING MALARIA MEDS WITH TRUMPITO trump is gonna push this for a week then finally get fed up with the public telling him he's a shithead dicklips

I’m fucking kicking myself in the ass for not screen-shotting the headline.. So as you can see my 4/4 post, i had heard from a friend, who has a good friend who runs the ER at a hospital in New Orleans, different from the one i work at, that there have been 2 day decreases in numbers of hospitalizations at her hospital. THAT SAME NIGHT the NY Times, the only paper i actually pay money to subscribe to, and generally trust, put out a report that New Orleans and another city, i forget which one (edit: it was Detroit, i wanted to be certain), are going to be the “new hotspots.” I cannot find that headline anywhere right now.. i’ve searched their app. I’ve searched google.. it’s gone. Poof. If any of you internet sleuths want a task, try and dig it up for me. It was specifically the NY Times. This is the 21st century. We don’t regularly hold hard copy evidence of faulty newspaper printings in our hands anymore. It’s very easy to wipe a story from their online print. I’m going to keep digging because i’m hoping i missed something. Coincidentally, as i think i’ve mentioned in here, i had just finished reading Manufacturing Consent, and rereading Media Control by Noam Chomsky right before this all kicked off. It’s been really hard reading news reports without bias when you just finished 2 books about media propaganda used to sway the population into unified consent, and then watching a news report vanish before my eyes.. Especially when he specifically cites the NY Times, Time magazine, and many other notable sources pushing certain narratives, and burying very specific stories during situations like Vietnam, and the El Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Nicaraguan death squads. edit: here are 2 graphs, also from the NY Times, showing a downturn, with the occasional spikes, as will happen.. here’s a youtube screenshot from ABC News, this is a similar headline the NY Times ran Saturday night, as i mentioned.. morton
I am an old woman Named after my mother My old man is another Child who's grown old If dreams were thunder And lightning was desire This old house would've burned down A long time ago Make me an angel That flies from Montgomery Make me a poster Of an old rodeo Just give me one thing That I can hold on to To believe in this livin' Is just a hard way to go When I was a young girl I had me a cowboy He wasn't much to look at Just a free ramblin' man But that was a long time And no matter how I tried The years they just rolled by Like a broken down dam Make me an angel That flies from Montgomery Make me a poster Of an old rodeo Just give me one thing That I can hold on to To believe in this livin' Is just a hard way to go There's flies in the kitchen I can hear them there buzzin' And I ain't done nothing since I woke up today But how the hell can a person Go on to work in the morning Come home in the evening And have nothing to say Make me an angel That flies from Montgomery Make me a poster Of an old rodeo Just give me one thing That I can hold on to To believe in this livin' Is just a hard way to go Sam Stone came home, To the wife and family After serving in the conflict overseas. And the time that he served, Had shattered all his nerves, And left a little shrapnel in his knees. But the morhpine eased the pain, And the grass grew round his brain, And gave him all the confidence he lacked, With a purple heart and a monkey on his back. There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes, Jesus Christ died for nothin I suppose. Little pitchers have big ears, Don't stop to count the years, Sweet songs never last too long on broken radios. Sam Stone's welcome home Didn't last too long. He went to work when he'd spent his last dime And soon he took to stealing When he got that empty feeling For a hundred dollar habit without overtime. And the gold roared through his veins Like a thousand railroad trains, And eased his mind in the hours that he chose, While the kids ran around wearin' other peoples' clothes... There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes, Jesus Christ died for nothin I suppose. Little pitchers have big ears, Don't stop to count the years, Sweet songs never last too long on broken radios. Sam Stone was alone When he popped his last balloon, Climbing walls while sitting in a chair. Well, he played his last request, While the room smelled just like death, With an overdose hovering in the air. But life had lost it's fun, There was nothing to be done, But trade his house that he bought on the GI bill, For a flag-draped casket on a local hero's hill. There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes, Jesus Christ died for nothin I suppose. Little pitchers have big ears, Don't stop to count the years, Sweet songs never last too long on broken radios. 1
