Like you can afford to get hot and sweaty because you're going home to something cool and clean whereas other people are staying still and maybe sitting in the shade just to keep cool? They immediately put that shit on and walk around the location wearing said shirt proclaiming that location. I guess in doing so they're kind of declaring their love for that location and are expressing a certain feeling of belonging. What's funny is to local people, those shirts immediately identify the wearer as a douchebag tourist. I guess concerts follow a somewhat similar theme. Like everyone is there wearing the same tour shirt and it's like yeah, I know you like the band, you're at their show. You ever been out and you see someone wearing the same shirt as you?
