Mushrooms are like the taboo cure for depression/anxiety/addiction right now.  It was part serious part humorous as a suggestion.  

 

Really just remember that cigarettes are symbolic dicks.  Remember that every time you put one to your lips.  Or don't, the next time you go to light one you'll think of this anyhow.

I quit smoking the third time using a vape with a set plan to taper down my nicotine addiction over a 6 month period. Took baby steps. First step was to redefine my addiction from tobacco to vape. Accomplished this by not looking at the vape as I inhaled. After a week I was adjusted to vaping as my new way to administer nicotine. Each step, I decreased nicotine and it was only a mild annoyance/discomfort until I was down to a low dose and then stopped.

 

The other times I quit I chewed cinnamon gum and Nicole patch and gum. Nico gum worked fairly well for me, but vape was the best as long as you can stay committed to your plan.
