A lot of these threads have people asking......"How did so and so Oner pass?" Reign in your curiosity and don't ask. For someone to have to relive the death of their friend by typing the cause of their passing or having someone else type it in is an inexcusable thing. It doesn't matter how they died. What matters is people sharing good memories and recounting the sorts of stories that keep that individuals memory living on in a positive way. These threads are memorials to the fallen, not a gallery of sensational deaths to be gossiped over.

He was 66. Roddy, who suffered from colon and breast cancer, died at Century City Hospital, according to his longtime agent, Don Pitts. He had been hospitalized for two months. "He had such a strong spirit. He just wouldn't give up,'' Pitts said Monday. Roddy had been ill for …

MONTREAL — The deaths of three teenagers killed by a train in Montreal on Sunday Oct.31.2010 highlights the danger of trespassing on and around train tracks, rail officials say. “This is a tragic, tragic accident and a sad reminder nobody should ever trespass on railroad property,” said CN spokeswoman Julie Senecal , noting the company polices the tracks and conducts blitzes in areas where people often trespass, but can’t be everywhere at once. She also said people often misjudge how risky it is to wander on tracks. “It’s extremely dangerous,” she said. “People think they will hear the train and have an idea of its speed, but they don’t hear it despite the …

I'm not the one to start threads on here, but i had to start one for Rem 311. I found out the news early this morning that he passed. Rem was the true definition of a gentleman. He was definetally a one of a kind individual. His crew "Just Having Fun" was a reflection of the man himself. He just enjoyed painting for the love it. RIP. A great loss to the graffiti community.

I personally never met Alonso - Im not sure yet as to what his tag actually was, though I have reason to believe he went by Aire. From what his friends have told me he was up all around the LA area, and I can verify this, because he pushed his crew name more then his own. ICS streaks, stickers and can tags/bombs, scribes on multiple different buslines (omni trans, foothill transit, MTA ect.) He would have been survived by his mother if she too hadnt also passed on about month before he did. I get the impression they were close, and its my own opinion that when somebody loses someone they love they also lose a sense of their own direction. Up to the month leading to his…

much respect to the friends and family of the writers that have passed. but I noticed graffiti is the only category where it is not ok to discuss the cause of death. actors, athletes, to celebreties, to politicians, to rappers, to activists, to cousins to etc. etc... why is not ok to discuss death, it is a part of life, and as a fan of some of the people that have passed in graffiti i would like to know what happend.... rip

Once again the world lost an amazing writer and great person. Celo DHl/HIC passed away at the end of last week. Those that knew Celo always knew he was the life of a party and a geninue person. Always had graffiti in his heart since a young age. I used to love seejng the dynamic duo Celo/Soz wreck shit in ct. To everyone he meet he made a very big impact on. There is some people I introduced Celo to about 10 yrs ago, that still asked how he was to this day. You will never be forgotten, and your HI/Dhl family will never let you be forgotten. Rest in power, and my condolances to your brother, family and all your friends.

You were my friend first and foremost, a top notch writer who told me to keep practicing, someone to whom I could play a great game of chess with and then go out afterwards for Pho and beers. You held on as long as you could and despite the pain of your loss, you are now released to a higher place. I wish you could have seen how far I've come along and no doubt you woulda been proud of my accomplishments. Your memory will still live, your name will still ride, Dekade UM will always be up. Your Friend from here and into the beyond Lens
