last hurricane swell, it was wasit high for two days and i surfed for two days straight, day 3 was big big and i was so gassed i couldnt catch shit, was really terrifyingly shitty.

Got sucked out way past shore and southward. Then drove up to Houston. I should have stayed for the afternoon cause the waves chilled out and got good

Just now, Kults said:

not really sure. maybe far out on the east coast somewhere or the west coast in BC. lots of shoreline but damn it must be cold in there

not sure if wet suits technology is par with the elements.  Closes someone would get would be Seals or Canadian equivalent to the U.S. Seals.

Hmm. I do have a lot of washed skateboarding homies and some actives that surf on the reg year round. South eastern New England shores are straight through till winter but they still go out. I’ve heard of these below zero type wet suits they wear. I know farther up north especially on the pacific side is STUPID cold though.

Surfing looks like so much fun but I am a completely dogshit swimmer, so I don't tempt fate.

One of the gnarliest things I've ever seen was the Oahu north shore in mid December, waves were absolutely bonkers and the WSL were in mid season.  We spent the better part of an afternoon watching the pros practicing for the next comp and my god, respect.  To have the balls to paddle out into that crazyness.
