With the shut down of free Flickr I've been consolidating whats left of my photo library. Ive lost over 25,000 pictures and countless hours of footage to police evidence but when your addicted you can't stop. Graffiti is more addictive then any drug in my honest opinion. I'll start with pictures I took freight hunting in the Inland Empire in the mid 2000's. I use to catch some gems and didn't even know it.

Since I take so many pictures it makes sense to put out a few to the wider world. All taken in Adelaide Australia at various locations. A few of them are taken out my car window and I have to be discreet as you get huge fines for mobile phone use in the car so sorry if you can see window sills etc in there.

OK, here we go again, this stuff is worth the hassle of retyping for all you freight aspirants. Before you even consider the mission, lighting, and chillness aspects of your fr8 work you need to know what's up with yards so you don't get killed. I will post a bunch of sub-topics as I think of them. HUMPING. No, not that kind. In the fr8 world humping is a process used to break up trains and sort, or "classify", the individual cars and get them to the right tracks in a yard. Basically, the train is driven backwards a short distance, and they slam on the brakes. At the same moment a brakeman jogs alongside the moving train and throws a lever that uncouples a car or group …

There is a mix of emotions on the NYC Brick Slayers so I figured I would start a new thread for NYC steel. To preserve history, to educate those that respect the "old school" and just because I feel its the right thing to do. I'll post on here from time to time from my vault but for now here are some stolen or reclaimed photos of graff the way it used to be..... I'll put up a hundred or so tonight....

Want to find some like-minded peeps out here. Feel free to DM to avoid blowing up your spot. Thank you in advance ~ Wavey

Recently moved from Minneapolis and I've been having fun getting flicks of familiar writers. This box truck by Quasar totally kills it.

Going to crack open the vault on this one and put down some oldies but goodies from the days of film. Starts around 97. Over the years I've caught a lot of firsts, ones that got away, some unfortunate RIPs, and some with good stories behind them. If any of these speak to you in such ways I hope you'll share in a PM or in the thread. I hope new and old heads will appreciate a time when car counts were high, car selection was good, open panels were plenty, some history coming in installments while I have time. Here we go.....

I'm not sure if this topic is cool here or not, but when I'm in the yards, I see tramps occasionally. I see graff artists occasionally. Usually, I don't see ANYBODY, not even yard workers. There is a big difference between Hobos and Tramps. There are really very few hobos left. Modern tramps consider hobos to be the old timers from the steam train days of the Great Depression. There are a few of them still alive. Steam Train Maury Graham in Napoleon, Ohio, is one of the best known hobos in America. (He rode back in the late 1940s and '50s. He's in his eighties now, but he still goes to hobo conventions once in a while. The best known convention is the second wee…
