I didn’t like A Quiet Place. Cool idea riddled with terrible plot devices.

watching the last season of Silicon Valley

I think it's a future classic. The Wire is iconic, Generation Kill was cool but too short, Treme wasn't my thing and Show Me a Hero was meh but this is Simon at his best. Really loved it. When he's at the top of his game he makes some really special shows.

Only one episode into  The Deuce and it's shaping up nicely.

 will watch another tonight

The pilot does a good job of reeling you in. It picks up pretty quick after that. To me it feels like The Wire only 30 years earlier and in NYC, its cool

yes up to episode 5 and it's going well. Trippy how you'd rather see Maggie Gyllenhaal fully clothed after about 10 minutes...

so many old faces from the wire in there.

slim charles

Dangelo Barksdale

The lawyer

Frank sobotka

Just started "The black spot." My French isn't solid enough so I'm watching it dubbed with the wife. Solid so far,  seems like it's going in a weird /fucked up direction.

I started season 2 last night. I'm stoked on it.

@Kultsi can't think of the movie name with the jotunn in it, but similar lore and forest monster in this show.

I wonder what happened to that little kid?

edit - also, “Cabrini–Green is the home of the Evans family in the television series Good Times. Florida Evans states in season 4 episode 24 their address is "921 North Gilbert" which was an address in "Cabrini-Green". The project was also seen in the show's opening credits.“

Watched The Fanatic. Written and directed by Fred Durst, starring John Travolta. As bad as you expect

watching Tuff Turf. Only 10 minutes in but it’s hilarious so far.
