finished. I strongly recommend this book to errrrbody. really great.

 

I saw this at the thrift store the other day and was going to buy it, but decided I already have too many books that I need to read before I buy any more new ones.

But if you really think it's that good, I'll stop buy and pick it up and just add it to the list.

at goodwill yesterday.

 

 

$2.99 for each! it's a bitch to wade through but i've found some good shit the last few times i've gone.

shopping for books at thrift stores is where its at..

 

i bought a thousand splendid suns hardback cover for $1.98

^i was actually going to buy this a couple weeks before i found it at the thrift store for like $16 at barnes and nobles.

you know...i was actually thinking about reading mein kampf the other day after rewatching american history x and seeing the book report part.

 

i know i wont agree with hitler's ideas, but im kind of interested in what he says in it....also im curious about the turner diaries...has anyone read that??

 

but i doubt i will ever get around to reading those two books.

i went to goodwill for books a few weeks ago. i picked up this because it looked interesting and jonathan lethem gave it a good blurb on the cover.

about a town in mendecino county, california that has it's own language and an awesome brewery. i started it and enjoyed the first few chapters, but i had to put it aside for a bit to handle some library books.

 

i also copped an elmore leonard while i was there, but i can't remember the title at the moment.

I wouldnt bother with mein kampf

 

Its generally considered one of the worst political documents ever written

 

Not because of its content but of its rambling poorly written nature

 

I keep wanting to read it but every time i flip through it, it just pains me

 

I dont think i could devote any of my time to that

word....how about the turner diaries??...have you read that?

 

you were the person telling me about Maus right?....i still need to get around to reading those books...im not used to the comic book style though...thats why i passed on persepolis.
