Anybody own any WW2 stuff? Been considering picking one of these up from Centerfire Systems, but I keep reading mixed reviews on its quality.

9mm Fiocchi is like 270$ for 1k rounds.. But Wolf 7.62 is right in the same ballpark so why not buy a cheap WASR or a Yugo underfolder..

now known as Northwest Arms idk this shit has some great reviews too i guess they were all made 100% by hand. great reviews on various sites.

The LE-3 is the recipient of the latest technology in metal hardness, barrels, and sight systems. The LE-3 is fully machined rather than die-cast, and, therefore, is not subject to the flaws that are inherent in some of the firearms that are currently being manufactured. It is manufactured from T-16 aluminum (which is a high grade of aluminum that is used in aircraft applications) and is machined to very tight tolerances. The trigger group is a simple, yet extremely functional design with an excellent trigger pull.

We have found the LE-3 to be a highly accurate and reliable firearm. The bolt is very durable (Rockwelled to a hardness of 57) and is tightly encased within the barrel (which is rifled for accuracy), preventing it from "free-floating" and providing additional accuracy.

The barrel also contributes to the exceptionally high velocity that has been recorded for the LE-3 9 mm carbine. Because the LE-3 is equipped with a 16-3/16" barrel, the velocity is much higher than the average 9 millimeter firearm, allowing the user to shoot at long range and still be accurate. Essentially, the longer barrel allows the LE-3 to gain 40% velocity.

The LE-3 is one of the most durable 9 millimeter semi-automatics ever manufactured. It can tolerate very hot loads (P+ or +P+ machine gun ammunition) that have been known to damage other carbines. The ability to accept such hot loads is important because it allows the user to shoot at .357 Magnum velocities while still utilizing a 9mm cartridge.

The LE-3 is very easy to disassemble and clean due to the ingenious design of the firearm. Reassembly is also simple due to the presence of the timed barrel, which ensures that the firearm will continue to perform with the same high degree of accuracy without the burden of resighting the gun each time that it is disassembled.

Both the 31 round and the 18 round magazines for the LE-3 are of very high quality. In addition, to being sweated together, they have five spot welds down the side, making them extremely durable. They are equipped with a machined aluminum follower and a ball bearing system that prevents the follower from binding during operation.

a bulgy AK-74 is cheaper than a WASR and 5.54X39mm is cheaper than 7.62X39. if youre looking for a 7.62 assualt rifle the WASR is your best bet.

be careful tho becuase they are made from factory "rejections" that are not MIL-SPEC for the romanian military. they may come in with a canted front sight and a canted gas return.
