It has various settings to lengthen the exposure time. That particular shot was 30 seconds. I hit the button, the shutter stayed open, then I sat down for about 10 seconds. can that be done with a slr digital camera? or is that what you used...? I'm not sure what you're using, but there should probably some kind of setting that allows you to change the shutter speed manually. Depending on the lighting where you're shooting, you might want a longer or shorter shutter speed. That photo of me was in a somewhat dimmed theater auditorium, so it needed a loger exposure.
