I have recently become tired of buying shitty made clothes and am interested in making my own "gear". I'm sure there are courses you can take somewhere to teach you how to sew garments and what not but due to my new geographical location, I do not have access to many of the worlds finer instructional offerings. I have looked all over google and come up with a bunch of shit that is either books for sale on sewing or pages that say for beginners and then offer shitty diagrams and termonology that only a seasonded OG seamster would know. I have been toying with the idea of just taking appart clothing that i have that fits just the way i like it and replicating t…

Here's the deal, I need a new backpack. The one I've been using for the last year and a half is clearly dead, there are massive holes in the bottom and the seams are ripping apart. I didn't expect a $6 backpack to last anyway. Which brings us back to the point of this thread. I need a new backpack (no messenger bags please, my shoulders are only so strong). I'm looking for something low-key (like a jansport super break), but I'm open to something new if it's absolutely awesome. I prefer smaller bags (again, I'm open to awesomeness), and don't want to spend more than $60. 12oz consumerism style arbiters: do your work.

NEW YORK (January 4, 2005) - BBC Ice Cream LLC, musician and producer Pharrell Williams’ apparel and footwear brand, has filed suit against Reebok International, accusing the sneaker giant of breach of contract and seeking damages in excess of $1.6 million. In a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court on Dec. 17, BBC, which stands for Billionaire Boys Club, accused Reebok of violations on three counts of breach of contract relating to an apparel licensing agreement reached between the two companies in Oct. 2003. According to the complaint, Reebok failed to produce any apparel products meeting BBC’s approval standards and also failed to ship a representative apparel lin…

Like Elizabeth Taylor, artist Gabriel Urist has violet eyes and a very large jewelry collection. He started crafting necklaces, rings and other accessories eight years ago at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan. Now he's in Brooklyn, embellishing the gold and silver trade. His work is gorgeous -- he's fashioned knuckle rings and other glitzy things for supermodel Omahyra and styled accessories for Miguel Adrover and Gary Graham fashion shows. But Urist's main passion is basketball, and after a few years of metalsmithing, he's making waves with a line of hoops-inspired jewelry. "In my opinion, the beauty of basketball has, for the moment, been lost in the…

Some of you may know that Disney has been getting rather trendy in the haute couture. Well, I been about that shit for a long, long time. Anyway, since it's out there, we'll be seeing more and more cool vintage designs by Disney in the not so distant future. I, for one, am glad. There's gonna be a ton of archive digging for classic images, and you're crazy if you say that shit don't look good. Here's an article I found: ---------- One thing I saw was a table that had a card theme, a la Alice in Wonderland. I'd love to have that.

saw this one on being hunted and it had to be posted so here it is: Date June 26th Location Spring Street NYC Report and pictures by Leah Christine McSweeney (Married to the Mob) The MOB was loose in NYC last weekend. On location for Beinghunted - Leah from Married to the Mob to capture the riot that was the Spring Street Block Party. Yes, her images speak for themselves, but not everyone is 'in-the-know' so she sat down to explain the who-is-who and what-is-what. One thing is certain - this is NYC, these are the people, this was the party... Mark your calendars! June is the month, Spring Street the place in '06! Saturday, June 26…

Defiantly one off my favourite brands out there hixsept from France combines graffiti clothing with general fresh design Hixsept was born as the result of a fusion between the ideas of two French graffiti artists: Hëx and Hept. Being precursors in adapting graffiti elements to clothing, they constantly try to blend art, graphic design and confection. The make has always tried to be on the edge, the key being creating and exhibiting. The surfaces are constantly explored and mixed towards "the irregular, the opposite, the asymmetrical, the out of order, the incidental". The logo of the make, the copyleft (a flipped over copyright sign), sums up it's concept. …

alright so i like clothing and always have, and i have outgrown the stage of wearing tshirts that have designs, art designs, or just have their name boldly centered in the middle of the shirt. i want t-shirts that have a broad variety in unique colors, i want to be able to have different tones of blues and such. I want to have t-shirts that have stiching on them that you can see, kind of how denim heads like stiching, or how shoe heads like stiching. So t-shirts that look good by their color, their stiching, their material, they just look real good and stand out on their own without having some logo to destroy its quality. any suggestions? i …
