Its me again, this time when i look into my "network Connections" folder it seems that my "internet" icon is missing, i need this icon in order to change and allow some port settings. the strange this is even with this icon missing i can still access the internet. is there any way i can make the icon show up again? P.S. this problem occured right after i updated my router's software.

In about a month or so, a good friend of mine is gonna be doing a musical performance with a fairly well known artist in the bay area. He wasnt able to tell me much about it but he wanted me to go backstage and take pictures with my Canon XT, although im flattered by this im assuming (because he hast given me details) that its gonna be either: a.In a club where lighting is tricky and more often than not low. b.theyre gonna be on stage, since i dont know how close ill be to them im not sure how good shots am i gonna be able to take, since ill be using my only 18-55mm lens. c.and who knows maybe he just wants pictures for memory purposes and AFTER the concert they will get together for a photo shoot(which would be perfect) because i could take my time and get as close as i need to. assuming its gonna be scenario A and B what settings should i consider on my DSLR? this includes white Balance, center weighting, F-stop and shutter speed. any advice would be greatly appreciated, and ill be sure to post flicks if all goes as planned. feel free to PM me your advice, thanks everybody and sorry for the lengthy post.

^ I've had a ton of customers ask me if there was any sort of GPS type chip they could put into there cell phones that previously didnt have THAT capability, currently there isnt to my knowledge and if there is its definitly not free. I have another question though maybe you could once again answer, so i have DSL, i think my speed is 757k or somthing like that, i also have a wireless router, now, my xbox 360 uses my wirless newtwork to play online, but since i share my house with a roommate whenever she gets onto the computer and surfs the net my xbox live connection lags terribly, so does this mean i should give my good ol' ISP a call and upgrade my internet speed? will that resolve the lag issue? if so how high a speed should i go?

Hey seffiks, it turns out that my wireless router (which i didnt mention) was causing it, i disconnected the wireless router and restarted it and BAM yahoo.com and all of its conglomerates are opening up again. The customer service at sbc seemed to know even less than i did, which is quite sad :( , thanks for the advice though

All of the webpages i visit seem to open fine EXCEPT for Yahoo.com or anything associated with yahoo, ie:Yahoo Mail. ive tried damn near everything to fix it including that dll list thing. also when i do the svc scan it requires "disk2" of windows xp, which is never supplied by the store you buy the comuter from either way. if tried firefax,opera and IE none of them can open anything yahoo related, i just get a page not found. this is REALLY startin to bug me any help would be appreciated. Things ive tried: -System restore -run .dll list -network settings opeong up suggested ports etc -turning off firewall -system scan for viruses, nothing came up -clearing cache and all that obvious bullshit that never does anything. im out of ideas. that strange thing is that its JUST yahoo.com and mail.:scrambled:
