TheGreatGatsby
picked up a Smuttonator at the packy tonight, if I'm not happy with it I plan to hold all of you accountable.
the.crooked
It was great when I went to school, and a good friend who I trust re-confirmed this for me this last year. Apparently it's one of the few good beers I learned good beer with that remains in the good tastes of palette's I trust.
TheGreatGatsby
It was good, but liked their farmhouse ale quite a bit more. Then again I like Saisons a lot more than I like double bochs so my opinion is obviously colored. I liked this quite a bit on tap.
john_gacy
Chocolate Chili Bock. Whatever, it's SA. Balanced, perhaps too much, chili is barely detectable if at all, but at least that's better than that Cave Creek diarrhea juice.

50million
I know I just posted this the other day, but now I get the pleasure in actually trying it. It's uh-mazinggggggggggggggg. Gotta try it. PS - Whole Foods had a 20% off ALL beer a few weeks ago. I got another 30% off...So 50% ALL beer = a fridge full of beer. I'll write a list of beers we highly recommend. We got some goodies.

Fist 666
i don't think i even want to try that voodoo donuts mess. i consider myself adventurous and think i have a decent appreciation for beer, and that shit just looks dumb to me. like everything beer shouldn't be. i understand its two portland companies trying to do something neat, but... i dunno. i don't get it. and won't buy it if i ever see it.
thecarwreck
^^^ This. Had Dogfish Head's Chicory Stout tonight... REALLY good. Full like a solid OG European stout but well balanced with a light finish. Rich but not heavy. Makes me want a legit winter meal to go with. Fist 666
i'm not trying to be the hater in the thread but that recommendation for longhammer ipa should be ignored. maybe after several heavy IPAs when you can't taste shit anymore. eviltrailer77
I wouldn't say it's that bad, but of you are an IPA lover it won't do anything special for you. Their ESB is a solid drinkable beer, plus it's damn near always on sale around here. When it's only $2.00 more than Buttwiper for a 12er, it's a no brainer. Edit: I does give me the worst beer farts I have ever had tho, and that's saying alot.
Drue_Down
The Voodoo isn't for everyone. Most people hate it, it is an acquired taste like bean soda: I went thru 6 bottles over thanxgivin, its smokey aftertaste pairs well with food or just farting around on the couch. I wouldn't chug this at a tailgate, but it is a good slow sippin brew that creates a party in your mouth.

the.crooked
I have been drinking the shit out of Sierra Nevada Celebration this year. Was at BeerRev the other night, had some delicious delicious beers (If I remember them all): MadRiver John Barleycorn Barleywine: Was good, it sort of had the same mouth feel as when you eat a strong soft blue cheese with a nice jam. Almost savory, but still sweet. I know i often shit on victory as being middle of the road, but FUUUUUUU this beer was outa control good: Otto. Just a smoked ale. Nothing fancy, but perfect balance of that smokey flavor and alcohol bite. Then we had this: Mehh. I've never been a huge fan, but the girlfriend and the buddy wanted to drink it. Whatever. Better stouts to be had, in my opinion. there may have been more. I don't remember.

count chocula
croooooooooked… this evening is the Kerstbier Fest at you-know-where i'll likely not step foot in that establishment during such a shitstorm - though, i'm sure it will be amazing in terms of beer selection. 25+ taps of xmas brews.
