I'm like fuck, don't tell me there's a worker here. Pop out and saw this lady looking back at me. Cool thing was I just acted natural, didn't stare, and I crossed the tracks to within a few feet of her. We stood there together for a moment before she turned and walked off into the brush. Solid story man. I've encountered a similar situation with an Elk in the Grand Canyon National Park back in 1989. I was walking out of the park by walking in a straight line through the woods from a road to where the road curves back around. This was the main road in and out of the park. I had a map and determined this directional route. This is where I was to hitch back to Flagstaff. Same thing tho. I didn't stare into its eyes and walked around it by about 15 feet because it was directly in my reckoned path.

Believe it or not this has happened around 5 times at different spots, more if you count non-graf related activity. I like that feeling of being 2 animals passing each other in nature. Probably how shit was way back when before man overpopulated.

A buddy of mine was telling me a story a few months back when he was hunting and wasn’t feeling it so he took a nap under a tree. Shortly after he woke up, he came face to face with a mountain lion. Both just stood there looking at each other. Crazy thing is he recorded video of it and had it on his phone. He was definitely freaked out but kept his cool. I don’t do it justice retelling the story, the encounter definitely left a lifelong impression on him.
One Man Banned
I was pleased with this, fitting. Early morning hours of what will be a buck moon/supermoon tonight and we encountered these bucks with this year's antlers coming in. Love that velvet of new antlers. 2

Need to research more but as much as I can tell this style of flask is called a union oval and was made to hold whiskey, or possibly medicine. Need to clean up more, says warranted flask on it. 3

I was getting swooped by some after playing basketball at my old high school years ago one weekend. I was a doubter until it happened to me, and thankfully I survived somehow to tell the tale. 2
