Suicide club is jammin', I see what you're saying about Battle Royale 2 but I still think the storyline is interesting enough to merit giving it a shot if you're a fan of the original. this flick is also the jam. Jim Jarmusch at his finest. edit: Happiness is fucked up!!! Good movie.

fermentor666
Movie thread #232485 My favorite movie of all time: Look for it on Criteron Collection. This movie never gets old: Fucking amazing horror film, I've seen it so many times: A recent film from last fall that IMO is a masterpiece, although not everyone will think so it's definitly high up on the list for me. Watched this one in the spring and I was blown away:
WhiteOx
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0219224/ On the beach (2000) some of you may have caught this on Showtime a remake of the 1959 film. Ive seen both and this one's alot better. Post nuclear war film. Its a simple strightforward film. Classy as fuck, stirring and horrific It's focus is upon a group of people trying to live the end of their lives as best they can. It's hard to describe, you really have to see it. Its fucking depressing in a good way. It'll make you think and then go out and get crunk.

coffeedependency
it's more than funny. i think it's one of the finest adaptations, ever. Forbidden Zone El Topo Days of Being Wild The Five Obstructions Fitzcarraldo Playtime (Jacques Tati is bonkers) Koyaanisqatsi (amazing photography and Philip Glass, only a douchebag wouldn't enjoy this) Band of Outsiders Alphaville The Long Goodbye (i assumed Robert Altman was a cornball until i saw this) Fellini, Fassbinder, Kurosawa, Godard, Tarkovsky, Bresson, Herzog, Ozu. And he is a smaaaaart dude, for having no education only street knowledge. He didn't kill women or children, only "bad" people. Gangsters, drug dealers, pimps, scumbags, shit like that got merked. Even Chopper said he didn't like the film, and that's why his books are a million times more entertaining. But the movie is still fun to watch. I'm going to have to find Blue Murder though, sounds good.
nomadawhat
Stalag 17 (1953) "For the Allied prisoners of Stalag 17, every escape attempt ends the same way -- in disaster. The cynical Sgt. Sefton (William Holden, in his Oscar-winning role) thinks they're all fools for trying … but soon his hectoring starts to raise suspicions that there's an informant in the prison camp. Director Billy Wilder effortlessly mixes broad comedy and high-tension drama in this World War II classic."
