Battle Royale fuck yeah.

If youre into that check out Suicide Club.

Fuck battle royale 2 though, I didnt like it one bit.

suicide club was a weird ass movie. but definately worth it.

if you have a "sick" sense of humor check out Happiness. made by same dude that made Storytelling and Welcome to the dollhouse. Yet on another level of "oh shit that's fucked up"

Definately. Suicide club is jammin', I see what you're saying about Battle Royale 2 but I still think the storyline is interesting enough to merit giving it a shot if you're a fan of the original.

this flick is also the jam.

Chopper (2000)

Summary:

Chopper tells the intense story of Mark "Chopper" Read, a legendary criminal who wrote his autobiography while serving a murder sentence in prison. His book, From the Inside, upon which the film is based, was a best-seller.

Good fuckin movie, fun to watch. His books are wildly fucking entertaining, very much recommended. Eric Bana plays Chopper excellently.

the last effing time, Blue Murder fucks all over Chopper, its the raddest crime movie ever

its a docu-drama - so real your eyes will bleed.

tagline: "the best police force money could buy"

its also based on the autobiography of an crim serving a life sentence - Only a much more serious one than chopper read

banned for 7 years because it deals with widespread New south wales police corruption that was subject to pending court cases

On the beach (2000)

some of you may have caught this on Showtime

a remake of the 1959 film. Ive seen both and this one's alot better.

Post nuclear war film. Its a simple strightforward film. Classy as fuck, stirring and horrific

It's focus is upon a group of people trying to live the end of their lives as best they can.

It's hard to describe, you really have to see it.

Its fucking depressing in a good way. It'll make you think and then go out and get crunk.

Forbidden Zone

El Topo

Days of Being Wild

The Five Obstructions

Fitzcarraldo

Playtime (Jacques Tati is bonkers)

Koyaanisqatsi (amazing photography and Philip Glass, only a douchebag wouldn't enjoy this)

Band of Outsiders

Alphaville

The Long Goodbye (i assumed Robert Altman was a cornball until i saw this)

Fellini, Fassbinder, Kurosawa, Godard, Tarkovsky, Bresson, Herzog, Ozu.

Dawg, while that movie does look and sound badass, Chopper is real person (as was the guy in Blue Murder) that really did kill in the double digits, really was feared and well known in the australian underground, but was at the same time kinda a cool guy. And he is a smaaaaart dude, for having no education only street knowledge. He didn't kill women or children, only "bad" people. Gangsters, drug dealers, pimps, scumbags, shit like that got merked. Even Chopper said he didn't like the film, and that's why his books are a million times more entertaining. But the movie is still fun to watch.

I'm going to have to find Blue Murder though, sounds good.

Stalag 17 (1953)

"For the Allied prisoners of Stalag 17, every escape attempt ends the same way -- in disaster. The cynical Sgt. Sefton (William Holden, in his Oscar-winning role) thinks they're all fools for trying … but soon his hectoring starts to raise suspicions that there's an informant in the prison camp. Director Billy Wilder effortlessly mixes broad comedy and high-tension drama in this World War II classic."

I seriously watch this like once a week. I've even made alternate soundtracks to listen to while watching it (Phillip Glass gets annoying after a while).
