kinda bummed out. Got a rescue kitten. 4 months old.

Spent $200. But that includes the food i bought, the

scratching post, the litter box and the cat litter

Shes all set. Fixed and shots are up to

date. Get her home and she wont stop hiding. First it was

behind the TV. Next the dryer, next the couch. Then it

went down to the basement and is under the steps where

i cant get to it. So i called the shelter people and was like

You gave me a broken one. They sayin to give her a couple

days and shes just scared but im sayin tho. I want a fun

kitten and then a melo cat. Not a skittish kitten and a

under the couch cat

FUUUUU

truth is black cats don't get adopted as much. People are

superstitious or some shit and when too much time goes by

and a kitten grows up chances are they will be put down

to maintain resources for new kittens that have a better

chance of adoption. So this kitten was getting older at 4

months, she was really sweet tho and has a really nice

coat and pretty eyes. Just an attractive animal. Even

tho its such a nice looking cat i had this feeling nobody

would want it so i took it

When i bring my own cats to new places, they usually hide for a few days and want little to do with me, even my cat who usually makes it her sole purpose in life to play with me or lay on my lap . Even more so for your new kitten since it's probably been sitting in a cage for the majority of it's time for weeks, it's not used to a large area to cruise around, and it hasn't figured out what the fuck is going on. It'll warm up once it feels comfortable in your place. In the meantime, i recommend bribing it out with food, treats or toys so it starts learning that you're someone it wants to be around.
