ClueTwo
I just ordered a bunch of books from Amazon based on your guys' comments. Great Gatsby, been meaning to read this for some time, but all the talk in the last few pages is going to make it happen. The Sun Also Rises, and Sunset Limited. Looks like I'm in this for the long haul..Wish me luck.
iloveboxcars
right now im reading some book titled introduction to 3d animation using maya. i've used map editors for certain engines before, and figured maya would be similar... and it is... only it's about a bajillion times more complex... which i should have suspected, but never really gave much thought. Also reading A Game of Thrones:

Fist 666
read this last night. i'd started it a few months back but set it down because i couldn't get into it--i've never read a screenplay before, and i'm not super into reading plays. anyways, it was pretty entertaining. super violent and misanthropic and depressing as to be expected. easy read--if you find it cheap, buy it, but as the cheapest i found was $25 for a good copy i wouldn't stress getting it on your to do list. up next is a barbara kingsolver book i've had for a couple years now. thecarwreck
I officially started editing a book on friday... a poetry collection. Not sure that anyone's down with the stuff but it's fucking weird to think of it all as a whole package. Anyway, picked this up a while back and just got into it last night:

thecarwreck
translation: Not sure if anyone cares about poetry... it's just weird to think about a whole book and not just individual poems on their own. and thinking about genitals is like 60% of my day anyway. Fist 666
i bought my first poetry collection in about a decade a couple weeks ago. "here, bullet" by brian turner. i think commie gave it a plug in this thread and i checked it out. i appreciate poetry but it is definitely not my preference. iloveboxcars
Still finishing up Confederacy of Dunces How are you feeling about it? One of my favorite books of all time. Easy, leisurely read while being interesting and hilarious at the same time. It's really too bad he wasn't able to see his book get published. SystemFailure
I do in fact like it a lot. First book to make me genuinely laugh. I just picked it up cuz the cover caught my eye. Glad I did. Only thing I'm a lil turned off by is how flowery the speech can be at times. But it's balanced out well with alotta spit.
technoheadphones
I'm reading "Tales of Ordinary Madness" by Charles Bukowski. I don't know if the ones in first person are real, but I almost believe it when I read them. Some good stuff.
