AyeBee
on Showtime is a damn good show. I'd only caught a few minutes of it before but today I've sat in the AC and watched most of the 1st season on On Demand. I must say between this and Brotherhood, Showtime is lookin pretty damn good

Rude&InTheNude
Mary Louis Parker is great in this show. I hope the girl from the pilot episode (the one that got sent to Mexico for videotaping her dad fucking the tennis player and flipped off her mom) comes back. She is rad! And who doesn't have a real life crazy/annoying friend like her brother-in-law? Love it.

Harvey Wallbanger
Yes, very funny show. And yes, very catchy theme song. I have nothing to add to this thread.
Weapon X
Weeds was good at first, but it just didn't hold my interest. I watched the first seven episodes, maybe? I gotta watch the latest episode of Brotherhood tonight, but it seems to be falling off already.
BalognaZone
agreed with weapon x. i watched a few, and thought it was really good, until i realized that it was way too dialogue driven and that the dialogue is actually not that good. it tries to be really clever, but a lot of the time i find it falls pretty flat. kevin nealand is not funny in that show, and he is usually really funny. the bitchy neighbor is obnoxious and not attractive. the brother in law is mad annoying and the way he delivers his lines makes me want to go on a shooting spree. the older black woman dealer is sucha parody of a black woman it borders on the offensive. basically, once you get over all the weed in the show, it's pretty lack luster. SouEstou
"little boxed on the hillside, little boxes mad of ticky tacky" I agree...the older black woman's lines are horrible. Corny, too stereotypical. I watched the first episode, and I thought I would hate the show....all of the black characters were like that. At on point I thought they were doing it on purpose...to make a point. But that theory didnt make any sense at all. That shit with her son and the x, not funny at all. Still like the show, though. I like HUFF a lot better.
Hashassian
I dropped showtime when they turned the coin and went homo loving.....as fas as weeds I've heard its a good show...I'd possibly rent it when it comes out on dvd as most tv shows nowadays do....but fuck showtime they are wack. boogie hands
not having cable sucks!... i disagree. anything worth a shit is going to come out on dvd and network televison has football season on lock down. the only thing cable has going for it is soccer and hockey and there are bars that broadcast both......in summation, fuck cable. lower that shit to $10 a month and ill think about it. ViolentByDesign
Aug 14 it comes back on holler. I watched the whole season in one sitting, it was pretty good in my opinion. Now we just need The Wire to return.

ViolentByDesign
The Wire is probably my favorite show ever. Except the season where they followed them boring ass cats around in the ship ports or whatever. I dont get showtime or none of that shit, but you know how they give you like a week or a month free out of the year so you can check it out?: Well mine has been free for about 2 years now. I like HUFF a lot better. I dunno, I think that a lot of the characters on the show have stereotypical qualities, it's a situational comedy, after all. I find the old woman to be pretty funny. It's a good show, not the best on television but still good. And the part where that woman was constipated and that song was playing, "I can't....mooohve", that was hilarious.
