ringring
Dunno about the 45rpm's in London, but Selfridges has plenty of other "premium denim" brands. Anything £150 thereabouts or upwards should be in that catagory.

Quoted post [/b] no idea, but they happen to have a shop in soho, nyc in case you have a friend in ny that can help you out. just so you know... 45rpm is particularly expensive. they start at about $400 and most hover in the $800 range. you can also get custom hardware and special long term washes, but that will drive the price up into the $1000 - $1800 range. not for the faint of heart, or shallow pockets. misteraven
btw, if you make it to 45rpm, check out the charcoal wash denim. a beautiful alternative to indigo.
seeking
$1800, huh? i remember when i made fun of tesseract a couple years ago because you could trade a pair of levis for a car in his country (which turns out to not be the case at all). guess the jokes on me! seeking
so, what's to stop someone from just walking in, grabbing a couple pair of $2k jeans, then just walking out the door? the cute little japanese girl and the metrosexual motherfucker working behind the counter? there needs to be more strong armed robbery in the fashion world i think. Quoted post you have to get fitted and the pair is ordered from japan where it's custom made to fit. you get a call about 2 weeks later and they're kept in a store room until you show up. seeking
DRATS! i was so close to getting rich too. raven, you'll be 'happy' to hear that i've caved into your denim world and will be copping a pair of pd&c for xmas. it's not some super elite $400-$600 jawn, but for a cat who's used to $27 levi's, it's something. CLICKCLACKONER
yo, not to bust your bubble or anything but you should've gone with the levi's. those paper jeans are made with such shitty quality. be careful about the belt loops, they tend to break real easily. also, i would be suspect to buy something that could be merchendised right next to southpole jeans.
seeking
well, levi's and evisu are 'merchandised' right next to south pole, so what's that leave me? lee jeans or R 45? i appreciate the 'warning' but when you dont wear clothes 5 sizes too big, theres not quite the same strain on the belt loops. something tells me ill be fine. ;) we need a smilie that makes its little hands look like guns then winks right as they 'fire'. that would be good. Spellbound
so where does the fat man fit into this style equation? Can he too enjoy the feeling of wearing pants that cost enough to feed 8 Ethiopian families for a month? I'm gonna start a brand of super expensive sweatpants that have waistbands made of organic mongolian elastic and drawstrings spun from the golden hair of norwiegan virgins. And special sweat collecting resivoires that purify the sweat into sparkling polish glacier water. Oh, and no waist sizes under 38 anyone interested in investing? I picked up a pair of APC New Standard in Paris about a month ago, really high quality - not too expensive either. Gonna pick up a pair of Tenderloin bc's when I get paid, they are some high quality jeans and not overly branded either. Was looking at a pair of PRPS a while back, thought they are too fussy, the little touches are nice but there is too many of them.
AnUpsetStomach
Re: Price points on high-end denim?! Unless your some really odd sized weirdo like shrek or like an os gemeos character, i dont understand why you would spend more than $100 on jeans. i mean shit, somone mentioned they spent $600 on a pair of jeans.....Thats like almost a year in cell phone bills, a one week vacation, 2 ipods, i could go on and on....
