Look what I framed today.

Recommended Posts

Authentic WWII Nazi soldiers knives.

Shit was a trip to be holding these in my hand today.

If only they could talk.

We're also framing a 6ft by 4 ft Nazi flag that the same battalion captured and all signed.

Shit was laying across the whole back table today.

I'm glad no blacks or Jews came in.

*One of you Germans translate the blades for us.

"My honor is loyalty." SS motto.

i think those knives are 5g's + a piece in good shape

im pretty sure the one on the bottom says "everything for germany" or "all for germany"

Close, it's "All for Germany."

My great-grandmother was from Germany, so I know a little bit of German. If you speak English and can read from context it's not too hard to figure out as long as you aren't dealing with some crazy compound word.

Those are some beatup nazi knives. You'd think they'd at least be polished up. Not that im a WWII buff but in order from top to bottom:

1. The SS Himmler Honour Dagger was introduced in 1934 after the successful purge called "The Night of the Long Knives". It was presented to 200 members of the SS who took part in the purge. Chances of it being an original? Unlikely. Should've had some inscription on the other side too. "meine ehre heisst treue" means "My honor is loyalty" or "My honor is allegiance" and was the motto of the SS.

2. Hitler Youth Knife. There should've been an inscription on the blade. The originals produced in 1929 had an inscription on the blade, but that doesnt mean it wasnt held by a nazi.

3. WWII Nazi SA (Storm Troopers) Political Dagger with scabbard.

4. Another hitler youth knife, but it's missing the swastika on the handle.

If im making those knives sound bust my bad. I wouldnt write this shit up if I didnt think they were cool.

Hmmm...interesting.

No inscriptions on any of them on the other side other than the knifemakers stamp which I can't remember.

I dunno' man.

Dude's dad had all the medals and photos to prove he was there at the time.

Not doubting you either though. Sounds like you know your stuff.

pretty sure it would greatly reduce the value if they were polished up. i know with old guns it almost ruins

the sale value to polish them up and trying to refurbish them.

*edit, what poesia said.
