viperface
It was stupid but funny. Got boring when DiCaprio appeared. Made me want to see True Grit again
bigdoughnut69
Just finished watching Looper. They had the basis for an awesome storyline and totally fucked it all up. The "half-wit" hitman ruined the seriousness of the story for me. They should of had a capable, non-retarded assassin on the hunt. Would have kept the intensity of the story up. Piper Perabo's flat chest did not deliver. Would not watch twice.

bigdoughnut69
Watched SnowTown Murders last night. Really depressing. Scenery was depressing, people were depressing, overall miserable movie. Needed more gore or violence. First 50 min were a snoozer. I didn't need that much Australian white trash lifestyle. Would not recommend. bourgeoisie
Do docos count? Searching For Sugar Man. Life changer. Watch it now! @bigdoughnut69 re: Snowtown. I saw that at the cinema. Grizzly stuff! True story. Of the 10 people that were in the theatre, 6 walked out. It shook me but that's Australian cinema at its finest. Real. Much better, less trash, characters were mostly likeable and the ending threw me a bit. What's up with incest happening in every household in Australia??? Would recommend. NightmareOnElmStreet
Django was proper. Haven't enjoyed a movie like that in a while. Caught it yesterday on the Justin.tv hack via appletv 2. i'm not sure if it was you or someone else who hit me with the Apple TV hack bizzness in my netflix thread but god dammit if i didn't get rid of mine recently i'd be hollerin at you on the matter. bigdoughnut69
Saw "DRIVE" w/Gossling. First half of movie was so fucking slow. I'm also tired of this "cinematic" style of actors starring at each other with this "art-house" implied dialogue. Style is pretty lame. Probably could have axed 30 mins of him and the girl looking at each other and not speaking. That said, 2nd half is really where the movie starts and is pretty good. LA Jew mobster actually became a believable villain, which surprised me. I would only recommend watching when it comes on cable.
grd
It was OKAY, not poor but not exceptional. Alfred was such an interesting bloke, they had so much they could have used but didn't. I dunno, I'm obsessed with the man so maybe I'm not the best judge. It was nice they gave Alma some of her due credit though. I wish Hopkins would get a voice coach, he still sounds Welsh in everything he does. I watched 'It Could Happen to You' on tv last night, Nic Cage man hah
