I have a lot of bear traffic on my property (acreage borders watershed which borders national forest), and a while back a mama black bear made that "huff" warning noise at me, and instinct did its job and I have never felt that sensation in my spine. Where we will be for the holiday is totally in flux however, recent death in the family put a damper on travel plans and has imposed new challenges to planning operations.
