With the new art install (10 centuries of Islamic Art) they walked and talked entire staff through. They let our dirty selves in this museum ha this oak room was amazing tho. The entire room, floors and all were in a house in New York and transported here to the museum. 1892 I believe is the year of build the floor came as is. Tails0nE Posted September 8 Share Posted September 8 Little weekend trip to Miami has been pretty chill for the most part.. had an aunt pass away about a month ago so I came with my mother just for the weekend for her celebration of life ceremony.. figured fuck it let me get away real quick and see fam I haven't seen in decades.. Yesterday after we landed we just went straight to my uncles crib.. kind of weird being around my aunts I haven't seen in ages but now I'm at the adult table with everyone cracking jokes.. pretty fun none the less.. Next day got up, had breakfast in the hotel with everyone, got ready and headed to the clubhouse in their neighborhood to help set up for everything.. My uncles friend from gradeschool took me outside to show me some of the fish in the pond.. said there are a bunch of random fish but hella big peacock bass and what not in there.. some random kid fishing on the other side of the lake waves then came by us to talk.. ended up talking to him for a while and asked about local spots around the way.. said his little brother has only been fishing for a month and caught a 40lb peacock bass at night a couple days ago that's why he was there to see what he could catch himself.. cool dude.. After the ceremony, went back to my uncles crib.. my little cousin who I last seen as an infant is 20 now and apparently makes hella trinkets and shit just for fun.. she has a whole pegboard of keychains she made, she unboxed all these coffee tumblers she made for pictures but doesn't sell anything.. said she's kinda scared and just likes making things.. I'm like girl you would make a killing setting up a booth at a comic convention or something and selling all this shit to a bunch of nerds.. great catching up with her tho cause last time I was out here I remember being a kid and helping giving her milk bottle to her while holding her in my arms.. geez time fucking flies..
