Theo Huxtable.
The media would want to jump on any GTA-related controversy, the hot coffee thing was a great way to distract people from real news. i think it depends. if crashing into the statue of liberty is a mission placed in the game, then yeah maybe people would be mad. but i doubt it because that would mean you'd be dead. if players flying around freely decide to fly into it themselves at their own discretion, then that's nothing the "media" can really get mad about
Anthony from Brooklyn
I think it's possible. Fox News can make an issue out of anything. Imagine the talking heads, "Popular video game lets children simulate terrorist attacks."
Papi Drew It
thank god they didn't move it to europe. liberty city in gta3 looked and felt nothing like new york. other than the fact that it had bridges and islands. and that was it. they should keep the gta series in the u.s., because the whole premise the original GTA was built on was american stereotypes of violence, fast cars, gangs, drugs, commercialism, sex, etc... keep it in the states. exactly...who wants to play GTA in Cairo??? there's alot of other games for that...im glad they did NY...it was the city i hoped they would do for the reason theo mentioned

SUR X3
As soon as you said "might be this guy" I was like, I bet it's the dude from Everything is Illuminated... He's the reason I said Ukrainian. Even though he's a gypsy Romanian.

Weapon X
The game looks amazing and I'm sure it'll kick ass. I'm very disappointed that it's NY/Liberty City again though. It introduced the last GTA series, so why not another? It's going to be a bigger, more interactive city. More grimy, and c'mon, Russian Mafia? SIIIICK! I wonder how involved they'll get into the whole human trafficking thing. That's about as touchy a subject as it gets. But, yeah, I'm stoked. Only a few months to go! Weapon X
I mean, why not re-introduce the series in one city? The city that started it all. One city where they can develop with laser focus.

El Mamerro
I'm definitely psyched about the Russian mafia angle. I remember playing Crackdown in the Volk city and thinking Russian gangs were pretty badass and that we should see more of them in GTAs. I guess Liberty City is cool. I was just expecting something new since Liberty City Stories came out so recently for the PSP. And I dunno, I'm just not such a huge fan of NYC in general. Who cares if there is more than 1 city or not, at least you know this game is gonna be fucking sick. And I think there will be a plane trip to where the character comes from like in Vice City when you go back to LC for that one mission. Probably the same here. And I'd get a PS3, just because the controls are better. I played San Andreas on XBox and the controls were just shit. I should have a reasonable job by the time this comes out so I can afford the console, plus by then they should have fixed some of the initial bugs in it (I got my PS2 when it first come out and there is a heap of shit wrong with it and it can't even be modded)

Mauler5150
Different strokes for different blokes. The PS2 controller fits my hands perfect. Hell even my curved index fingers like it. Mainly the thing I dislike about it the most is the location of the buttons which you use your thumbs for. And Rockstar should have some of the New York spots you mention down as they were in the Warriors game (which I really liked too). I see they still haven't gotten licenced cars yet either.
