Nearly anyone can be comfy on drop bars, it's just a matter of dialing in the bike fit...

soul vice
Just a little bike porn from the Taipei Cycle Show (not my pictures)... Not a big fan of most of the component choice (wooden flat bars...) but those frames and stems are gorgeous. I would kill for that raw frame. Edit- and Bike Snob NYC's identity revealed. I don't really give a shit about his identity, he's a real good comedy writer. http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/29/a-cycling-snob-unmasked/

Mercer
Anyone know of a good used bike shop that take trade ins in NYC? I'm just looking for another road bike (with gears), or possibly a lightweight mountain bike to throw slicks on.. Hopefully somewhere that takes trades, I just need a smaller frame than my current bike.

soul vice
Yeah like I said, not a big fan of how the frames are set up. They are super sexy though. Looking for a messenger bag to commute to class, like notebooks/books/laptop/maybe some gym clothes. I'm torn between the Timbuk2 2010 Classic Messenger or the Seagull Black Bag and just buying a laptop case to put it in inside the bag. http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/messenger/classic-messenger#product=4-122530 http://seagullbags.com/black/ (Medium in both)
rubbish heap two
I'd just go Seagull/laptop bag. Timbuk2 ain't that durable FWIW. I've had my Baileyworks for a good, I dunno, 3 years now and it's still going great.
