Don Adams, the wry-voiced comedian who starred as the fumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart in the 1960s TV spoof of James Bond movies, "Get Smart," has died. He was 82.

Adams died of a lung infection late Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, his friend and former agent Bruce Tufeld said Monday, adding that the actor broke his hip a year ago and had been in ill health since.

I used to watch both 'Get Smart' and 'Inspector Gadget' all the time.
A very funny man who raised the bar of television comedy.

    RIP

Rest in peace to a very funny man indeed. I also grew up with both of these shows, and was a big fan of Adams.

I'm going to pass on making a joke about the man who played Inspector Gadget needing a hip replacement.

    RIP

    Get smart was ingenious.

The Claw, Mr Big, Kaos, Agent 99, Chief, and of course 86.

"I asked you not to tell me that."

I also used to watch both. Inspector Gadget was my absolute favorite show when I was a kid.

Max (a.k.a. Agent 86) is a secret agent for CONTROL, a super secret
spy agency (which everyone knew about). He operated under the guise
of a greeting card salesman for the Potomac Greeting Card Company.

Don Adams best known for his roll as Agent 86 and the voice of Inspector
Gadget died at age 82 sunday from a masive heroin over dose. No? Would
you belive from AIDS? Would you belive from a long battle with lymphoma?

    Yes he died from lymphoma.
