Gimme a break, pssh... :lol: yeah, i agree. but they have a show that was/is able to transcend that in a way. i think lost has more of a faith/religious/supernatural vibe, opposed to a lord of the rings magic type thing going on, my initial use of the term magic was a cad choice actually. the last episode eluded to magic as a way to tell the story through the perception of the characters for that episode (like i was saying earlier, they didn't have the ability to explain what they were dealing with). as far as the science meets religion/faith themes, the best comparison that i can think of, is dune.
