INK RECIPE SUPERTHREAD

rubbish heap

Exactly, I'm saying you'd be better off finding glycol's that aren't diluted with other stuff that is in brake fluid if you're solely going for the "delayed dry time" effect.

yeah ive bought glycols on chemistry sites it will work better

but not by much

Break fluid is mostly propelene glycol

wich retards drying time to let the ink seep into

the surface

I've compared inks w/ and w/out it

the one with it had a harder stain

why do you think shoe dye takes so long to dry

so itt will sink in

When dot 3 was first introduced to inks

it was meant for greasy look so once it was

buffed there would be a ghost.

You add a bit too much and it makes

your ink complete shit, and i doubt a cap

full really helps it stain any harder.

I agree with yeahnation about it being

diluted in brake fluid, but neither the

chemical nor the brake fluid appeal to me.

Those recipes are the biggest load of shit i've seen in the yard for a while

oh, and do you have any resipes

are you saying they dont work?

try it & you will see that I have been making ink far longer than any of you have

I bet you didnt even know what bitumen is

come on

ask me a question you have and I will answer it

i know more than you

that cup dissolving nonsense sounds pretty dope for a pigment source.. then just use whatever else to make it stainable / permanent..

good post rush.

thank you

atleast someone knows something

and to use the cup resipe add glycols then heat so that it can all disolve

i doont care what assholes who dont know the basics of ink chemistry say any more

im just going to keep giving info

here it goes

so if anybody makes paint from scratch

instead of using linseed oil use polyurethane for a much harder finish

a paint is only as good as its binder

Anyone ever mess with yudu screen printing ink?

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51o1gR2gEBL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

They got some ill colors its water based though so I'm not sure if its worth getting.

I messed around with it a little bit. Thinned it with water, it does dry after about 10-15 minutes but once its dry you can pretty much rub it off. It would be cool for stuff that you know wont get buffed but other than that its useless

il say it again, if you use special screenprint inks (not the shit you get from arts and craft stores. those barely cut it for shirts) and hit a sunny spot its not going to come off if it goes untouched for an afternoon. its not cost effective, but im just saying.

and rush, please shut the fuck up.
