Would you recommend to just fire some crews through and into the old cornice then patch and paint? or should I go a different way? But the silver lining is you can nail straight through the face of the new crown to secure it back into place and you basically can't miss the crown behind it. Yep. Push it back into place Hammer a few nails* straight through it Caulk Putty Paint *Finish nails (should have a really small head and might have a dimple in the head.) fat ralphy Posted March 25 Share Posted March 25 Finishing nails, nail set - putty up and paint. Maybe have to caulk the underside if there is a gap, generally they caulk the bottom edge. So my neighbor moved in a little less than a year ago, wanted to move back to his neck of the woods so bad, he slashes the home 100k just to sell it fast.
