Like, the ability visualize building anything with your hands is difficult for some. Some people think lego instructions are hard to follow. disagree, and maybe it's me learning about my own capacity, but I find it to be an issue of whether you use a mouse or a trackpad. i think the primary issues are whether you can have a z xis that actually makes sense or you are trying to use it on a product that doesn't function well with it's format. ehh?
Fist 666
That makes sense; I hate track pads for anything greater than word processing... 1
Schnitzel
Yo @mr.yuck Can I get some advice on fixing this. we get a bit of movement in our soil Interesting to note during the remodelling of the room they simply put the new cornice over the old cornice. Would you recommend to just fire some crews through and into the old cornice then patch and paint? or should I go a different way? I don't want to have to take it off and reattach. in these matters I say to myself WWMYD? 2

mr.yuck
That's wild. I've never seen new crown hung over old crown. But the silver lining is you can nail straight through the face of the new crown to secure it back into place and you basically can't miss the crown behind it. Yep. Push it back into place Hammer a few nails* straight through it Caulk Putty Paint *Finish nails (should have a really small head and might have a dimple in the head.) Don't wanna go too big and risk splitting the trim. 2 1
fat ralphy
Finishing nails, nail set - putty up and paint. Maybe have to caulk the underside if there is a gap, generally they caulk the bottom edge. I could be wrong but thats how I did mine. 2

ndv
If I would have known, I would have purchased the home. So my neighbor moved in a little less than a year ago, wanted to move back to his neck of the woods so bad, he slashes the home 100k just to sell it fast. It sold in less than a couple of weeks.
mr.yuck
Okayyyy. Where were we? I think @nicklesndimeswas showing off some kind of ball stretchers but he likes to delete his comments making everyone else look like lunatics. Haha. Anywho... I built some cabinets and trimmed out some windows recently, and today I got some granite installed. Tile floor in kitchen goes in next week and I think tomorrow I'm gonna go and buy about 20 boxes of hardwood. mr.yuck
@ndvpatience is for real the key. There's a bunch of stuff that I'm for real just not good at. Most flooring is one of them. Tile especially. Cabinets was a new one for me. I've never attempted to build even a simple box before. To say the least, this shit has been humbling. I have learned 2 important things about cabinetry. 1. Always work on a flat surface. 2. Have all the right tools. Routers, planers, and the likes. As far as working with pine, I was told by a wood worker. Soak the pine with water, let it dry so it splits and cracks, then fill it. Sand and stain. Tile work is interesting work. The setting and cement is the most important process from my understanding.

nicklesndimes
had a little water damage from loose tile in shower. was able to uncover and remove a lot of the rot & remedy the situation in the most diy way possible. all the boards and drywall are cut to size & i guess i need to learn how to lay a few tile. edit: yes i grew up in here so that linoleum underneath brought back core memories i was unaware i even had.
