KILZ FILLZ Posted June 17, 2020 Share Posted June 17, 2020 Is the optical drive the disc drive? @where the only benefit i see from still buying discs is that you can use them on next gen if backwards compatible, xb360 disc on xb1. And even though you ain’t really gonna get shit, you still got something to sell when you make the move to next gen. if you download all your games and move to next gen they are dead files on an obsolete console. maybe I’m wrong on this do the game files stay attached to your Xbox / PlayStation profile??? As long as the new console is backwards compatible you'll still own them and be able to re download them onto the new machine, they're tied to your account not any one console sku I took a long time to make the switch to digital only but now I think I'm finally done with discs. Having something tangible is nice but the disc switching got annoying. I get that you could maybe sell them after you're done with the games but by that time what are you even gonna get for em? 2$ at gamestop?
