Fist 666
does anyone know a good site/blog that hosts modern books on tape, i've found a lot of classics/public domain books, but i'm more keen on finding pirated recent best sellers on tape... thanks in advance. MAR
It's pretty good so far. I just finished: It wasn't my favorite of his books but it was good all the same. You definitely need to devote a fair bit of time to reading it because its extremely convoluted (in a good way).

acer910
i bought geek love a few years ago on a girls recommendation and have yet to read it. its kinda slow in the beginning and keeping up with the characters is tricky but theres some intense craziness toward the end. its a really weird story. Fist 666
i just never got around to it. that and 'the time travellers wife' were her recommendations, and i really didn't enjoy time traveller's so i just put geek love on the shelf and now its in a box somewhere in the basement. Baron Von Counterculture
i like chabon, haven't read that one though. It's a collection of previously published works by him all relating to being a father/son/man but it fits really well together, doesn't just feel thrown together... mudpuddles
this these look interesting from the cover - is there a general theme he writes about ? anyone know of good books about history? of any period really. i listen to a lot of NPR and only get little bits of info on shit that interests me and then i never know what to read to go further. i was listening to a 'planet money' (wonderful economics show) and the were talking about medieval times economics and it was pretty sweet. as far as i could gather though, knights were Dicks. <--- that's with a capital d.
