john_gacy
At the beginning of this it seemed good, in the 2nd half it seemed more annoying. IDK, some of you guys seem very into them.

Newer Bigger Better
That full sail black gold is awesome. I've had the duvel which is obviously good.
the.crooked
Tell me how you like the Nogne, Saison. I've only ever had that sitting in a park in NY pounding it with two friends cus I had a flight to catch.
menaceIIsobriety
the black gold took a minute to get used to, but once it did...i enjoyed. a mix of bourbon & coffee, wow. harvest , duvel & nogne were all bitchin. wasn't too thrilled with the anderson valley triple, live & learn i suppose. -drink on brOs! the.crooked
I used to love the anderson valley, but it just becomes lackluster. too sweet and not dry enough for what would otherwise be an awesome american trippel. if i remember correctly, it's better on draught though. the.crooked
oh, and which sierra nevada was that one? if you come across it, i very much suggest anyone pick up the 30th anniversary black barleywine. the malts on top of the barleywine character is pretty fucking delicious. 1988
It was the Grand Cru... Bigfoot/Celebration/Pale Ale blend. Nice caramely taste with a hint of oak and a pretty strong hop kick to end it.

TheGreatGatsby
I thought the oak would make it less bitter but I was way off. Definitely could have spent that 16$ on something better. In fact, I'm sipping on a Miller Lite left over from a family party right now and it tastes like the nectar of the Gods compared to that aforementioned swill. john_gacy
Never had this before. It's colored with beet juice, I chose to drink it straight from the bottle so I did not see the color difference. Anyhow, it's nothing exciting, although better of course than anything mass produced. Magic Hat never claims what's really in their beer on the bottle so I have no clue what fruits & vegetables are in this, but it finishes with a lemony/tart berry taste. MH should stick to making #9 and 1 or 2 others, maybe that crazy braggot they had before.
the.crooked
i was curious till you said magic hat. interest over. they also got bought by pyramid brewing like a year ago or so? somethin like that.
