My good friend and neighbor is a vegan, so me and my girl made citrus marinated tofu steaks, mango salsa, stuffed tomatoes, chick peas with tomato and brown rice. We used vegan cheese for his tomato, which is disgusting and tastes like solidified vegetable oil.

i find that rice cheese is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay superior to soy cheese

Made my own garlic mayo the other day. It was very nice. Only 2 steps to make it which are crushing the garlic and mixing it into the mayo. Dont have any flicks until I get a camera sorted.

 

try roasting the garlic, imo much more appealing to the palate.

i was about to make tortellini with roasted red pepper cream sauce but it's taken me 2 hours to prep all of the components so i've decided to wait till tomorrow. i don't really feel like making 60-70 tortellini's right now. i'll have flicks tomorrow.

basil cupcakes??? how were they?

 

the flavor of the basil wasn't as evident in the cupcake as i would have like it to be, the candied basil actually tasted a bit like weed butter but overall they were hella good. i'm going to try to do the same thing with mint in the batter this weekend for mom's day. hopefully the flavor is a bit more noticeable.

this is gonna come off super corny but i don't care. so i have a portfolio of the food that i make to show chefs when i go into an interview. anyway tonight i plated my tortellini a couple different ways. i like both of these the best but i can't put them both in. so which one do yall think is better
