These monks in belgium make, what was voted, the worlds best beer. Apparently really hard to find these monks and purchase this stuff. I hear its top quality shit though......

The best beer I've ever drank would have to go to.....

i can't believe someone started a thread about this before me..haha...casek, you have fine taste in fine belgian ale my man.

I am waiting for this, Delirium-Christmas-Gift-Pac.jpg about a month to go. The Christmas batch is 10-11% i believe, instead of the normal 9%.

gotta love a beer that has a flavor named after this condition:

Delirium tremens -a disorder involving sudden and severe mental changes (psychosis) or neurologic changes (including seizures) caused by abruptly stopping the use of alcohol. Rapid pulse rate, elevated blood pressure, and temperature elevation also may be present.

4.50 for delerium at a bar is a great price. my bar i work at we charge 7.50. you guys should realy be drinking it out of a goblet (preferably a delerium one) as each belgian brewer has its own specifically designed goblet for their product that accents the scents and taste of each brew. snobby but true.

if you guys like the nocturnum, try orval. its a little more toffee flavored and properly served warmer, like close to room temp. so good.

i'm going to have to find this stuff. i've never even seen it.

i typically drink hefeweizens or whatever is "the darkest" in house. i like beer. period.

i had a real interesting belgian creek ale this summer up in ft collins. it was brewed with tart cherries. it tasted like a sweet barolo without any tannins. (i also enjoy wine...)

but yeah, delerium is on the list.
