Orgasm Addict
Sonic Youth. I've turned 2 of my friends to be completely obessesed with them... you could be next. If you download free music, here are some of my favorite "sad" Sonic Youth songs. There are some a lot more depressing, but it's different strokes for different folks... -Stones -Schizophrenia -Dirty Boots -Unmade Bed -Dripping Dream -Secret Girl -Becuz -The Diamond Sea

Dick Quickwood
not emo, but some sad bastard music that i like is Nirvana and Joy Division, which everyone is probably familiar with. *i just noticed i apparently posted the same thing a few months ago
Dick Quickwood
also not sad bastard related, since i've been listening to my CDs thanks to my hard drive shitting out i've rediscovered listening to music by the album, and Misfits lyrics seem to have a new dimension beyond the obvious. maybe that's just the LSD talking. BUCK FUSH
the entire seachange album by beck is fucking great for getting piss drunk in deep contemplation about ladies of old. my morning jacket also has some really eery songs like steam engine or i will sing you songs that are fucking amazing. chris o'rieley put a great album of radiohead songs done solely on the piano and i heard that hes putting together an elliot smth one. the reindeer section/snow patrol are fucking great. red right ankle by the decemberists is a great song. o and neutral milk hotel is fucking amazing and the entire aeroplane over the sea album has a subtle mood shift from upbeat to slower that spans the whole album. everyone should own this album.
