Wait until you see what they eventually plan on doing with AMERICAN CITIZENS who criticize the current administration and his Holiness... The fairness doctrine is step one... *(if youre reading this and saying "whats the fairness doctrine?" remove yourself from this thread... youre not equipped for this discussion.

Did you sleep through the last 8 years?

I read that the Obama administration is planning on implementing presidential powers of imprisoning suspected terrorists indefinitely without due process, also that this power will be gained through an executive order as opposed to a congressional vote. Now that is a worry.

Im not sure whether or how this differs from the previous administrations policy.

Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare

by Chuck Norris

Health care reforms are turning into health care revolts. Americans are turning up the heat on congressmen in town hall meetings across the U.S.

While watching these political hot August nights, I decided to research the reasons so many are opposed to Obamacare to separate the facts from the fantasy. What I discovered is that there are indeed dirty little secrets buried deep within the 1,000-plus page health care bill.

Culture of Corruption by Michelle Malkin FREE

Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.

It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."

Are you kidding me?! With whose parental principles and values? Their own? Certain experts'? From what field and theory of childhood development? As if there are one-size-fits-all parenting techniques! Do we really believe they would contextualize and personalize every form of parenting in their education, or would they merely universally indoctrinate with their own?

I think the language is a bit akward, but we've had similar legislation here in canada. after I was born my parents would have the occasional scheduled visit from a public health nurse (I think the first time she visited I peed on her) over the first 6 months or so, they make sure the kid is healthy and the parents arent keeping them locked in a cage or anything. They made sure you knew to feed your baby milk and forumula not root beer, dont shake your kid, heres how to access counselling and child care services if you need it, etc. It wasnt part of a canadian plot to turn me into a conditioned hockey loving, tim horton's coffee swiling, government conformist.

I think maybe you should step away from quoting anything on a site that also advertises Michelle Malkin books.

It's not like they'd install that program & instantly start taking over your parental rights to do what they want with your children. It's all conditioning. Just a little, little trampling over your god given rights starts the snowball effect. Governments been getting what they want for a long time by putting some law into place that people don't agree with, but they keep it so miniscule, and word it in the appropriate way, to have people say "ehhhhh, who cares I guess. It's not like they're trying to take our kids away from us."

Then next thing you know, you child's property of the U.S. Government. Just sayin', it could happen. Minor gun laws "made for criminals" made people think it was alright. Snowball effect.....now ask the people of the U.K. how it started.

wait are people getting upset because a nurse is going to be coming round to check on the baby in the few months following birth - where is the problem there, some new mothers find it hard handling a new child and aren't schooled on how to raise a child. When my son was born we had a health visitor come round, they check the child's weight and progression and ensure the baby is healthy - if a parent isn't caring properly for the child they offer advice, if the child continually gets treated poorly they maybe social services get involved - I see no problem with this at all, the only people that need to worry about that are BAD parents

it can also help a mother if she is suffering from post natal depression and is too scared/embarrassed to ask for advice
