my plan is to go to hongkong, china, or japan. live in a dodgey shitty part of town. make decent cash and then dj at night clubs on the side just for kicks. i would prefer to go to hongkong but from researching on the internet i have learned that minimum is a degree and a tseol ( or what ever its called) certificate. i don't have either but i could get a dilpoma in music production easy by the of 2011 and to do a tseol course no problems but i also wouldn't mind jetting off now/ soon as possible. Does any one know if dipolma and degrees are seen as the same thing when applying for these jobs? should i go to china instead and work there for a while then transfer to hongkong after gaining experience. or should i go to japan and rock out on that freaky shit

does anyone use google chrome (the internet browser) I've been using it for a month or so. i recon its better then mozilla, just a simpler layout and you can google search straight from the "type in web site bar thing" as well as suggesting what web site you might be looking for i.e typeing in 12oz automatically comes up with http://www.12ozprophet.com even if youve never been on 12 oz before i know this doesn't have anything to do with google voice invites but didnt really want to start a thread just about google chrome the picture program they've maid is pretty neet if your looking for a free alternative to paint/Ms photoviewer(what ever its called) and don't have photoshop if your interested just google it

i am not a fan of girl talk. my favorite artist are dj shadow, cold cut and a few other artist who have made there fame from sampling records. what i like about this movie and why i think its really important is because it's trying to create some space for sampling. i don't think girl talk should pay nothing for taking a vocal track and putting some other music behind it and saying its his own but i believe that if girl talk or any dj or non dj takes a note of a guitar in a beatles song the completely manipulates it to recreate a different song with a different melody then he should own at least 99% of those writes as far as the legitimate-ness of performing with a computer. could you imagine what girl talks shows would look like if he was to use cdj's his hands would be all over the shop. and i think he still is triggering samples which is no different to useing a mpc. besides people have been performing with computers since the 80's and when you go to pretty much any dj show these days, there all using computers and there more then oftern mac's. i would like to see this movie been re-edited to include the history of sampling and to show the more hip hop side of things

in my opion this is the most important movie of the 21st century. i feel as if every one should watch this movie how ever the time i have spent on this sight (and probally general internet) an't half as much as you guys so it wouldn't surprise if this movie has already done the rounds if so feel free to delete this thread. if not i hope you enjoy. i must warn you, the following movie your about to see contains footage of girl talk, he is only a character and this is not/ a "the girl talk movie" instead it is about how greedy corporations try and copy write every thing so they can get greedy rich and fuck the people of the land that made them greedy rich.

yer the program has your basic 2 channel mixer, with eq's. i'm not to sure if you can use the mixer with two line in's and a midi controller, i've never try'd but i don't think you can. there still seems to be a provision for an input ie mic/ external mixer (or you can run each deck through two sound cards into your mixer which isn't really what you want to do with a radio show, but this feature works good for haveing a backup track for mixing in stuff you have on your computer). i had a brief shot off trying to get my laptop mic to work via virtaul dj and i couldn't get any sound, also i couldn't find a volume control for the mic. mind you the program shut down after 1 minute( i have to get a better version) as far as the mix goes i will try and get something to you as soon as i can. i'm just gonna be really busy this week as i plan on moving to the other side of the country on thursday. infact i don't even kn ow why i'm on this website right now. i've got so many things to do(oh well) but yer i just like the idea of bieng in a position where i am putting music out there for people to hear. esspiaclly stuff that doesn't normally get heard. and i would really like the opportunity to help out on your radio station instead of the only people hear my mixes/ songs/ remixes bieng the neighbour's. i am a very patient man and i understand that a lot of work will need to be put into this. as i played the concept of an internet radio show in my head i thought "fuck. i want to do that" hence the attempt to get a time slot and the enthusiasm.

i've been fooling about with a program called virtual dj, there seems to be a function where you can broadcast internet radio.....heres a screen shot i strongly recomend this program to any one, its got some really cool functions like the sampler/tons of effecs and you can even get time coated vinyl(not really unique, but still) the only problam is it likes to connect to the internet and check if you have a legit version. i don't know if this will help but hey at least i try'd p.s can i do a mix of strange overtones/ trip hop/ dub(not step) and acid jazz. i live in australia so i'm not gonna be feeding any of the major time slots
