Another interesting theory I'm hearing that would make sense about the opening scene of the season when he's buying the LMG is that Declan's (the distributor) crew is going to kidnap Jessie when Walt gets run out of town by who knows who...Declan already knows Jessie is Walt's partner and he knows how to make the blue meth. Walt finds this out and he feels he owes this one last rescue of Jessie before he dies because of how much he fucked up his life.

That's how Walt and Jessie's relationship is. They work together, then they get into disagreements and stop working together, then Walt does something drastic to manipulate Jessie (Brock, Jane), Jessie relapses, Walt rescues him.

****Also, I'm hearing news that something bad will happen to Walt's daughter Holly in this finale. Dean Norris (Hank) has mentioned it in an interview I believe.

Gus was gonna have him killed once Gale new the whole recipe to his cooking.

Not when he first got the job in the lab, I don't think. Trying to imagine Gus' whole existence as just manipulating Walt into teaching Gale the cook and then killing Walt.

Sayin' if he just put up with Gale.. brown bag lunch.. he would of made millions.

Walt fondling that keylogger in his hand till the last seconds was some goofy shit! I bet that was improvised at the shoot...

Next up

Todd's uncle's jail contacts kill all jail people

Todd kills Lydia and snitch lawyer

Hank's all butt hurt about his case getting massacred

Hank's boss shows him the office surveillance about Walt

Hank contemplates suicide, maybe offs himself

Jesse tries to take Walt's family and fuck off

Todd tries to kill jesse, hits walt jr instead (pls)

Jesse gets away with rest of family

Todd makes power moves with Phoenix click, disregards Walt

Walt gets M60...

So good this season. So many new characters with zero moral value to get mowed down by 7.62 NATO

But if Gale found out how to make the recipe exactly how Walt did it why would Gus pay both of them? He definitely would have killed Walt and payed Gale way less to cook.

"When a cop kills himself, they want a full report."

In the season 5 episode of Breaking Bad titled “Say My Name,” the film Mike is watching during the DEA raid of his home is Fritz Lang’s The Big Heat (1953), a film noir about a cop who investigates the apparent suicide of a fellow police officer, only to find himself taking on a powerful crime syndicate while also trying to protect his family.

-Very interesting.

i might be alone on this but did anyone feel like "oh shit i forgot about lydia" was lazy/clunky/uneccassary/bad writing?

I think it fits perfectly. It works to show how irrational Walt has become, and his ego has got the best of him now. He is making short sighted decisions, because everything has gone to his head now. It also shows him with some sound of regret in his voice, but we all know that is short lived, because he is going to cover this up, by just spreading lies about meeting Mike. His world is crumbling apart slowly, and everyone he knows, is starting to see him spiral out of control.

"No more half measures Walt"

So much to consider from the latest ep. I kinda lost the ability to forshadow in this episode. Then I read the last two pages of this thread and it gave me some ideas.

Definitely did not like that Todd was taking notes AND that he didnt care about the money. Not to mention he was nonexistent in this episode till the end and you were like OH SHIT theres Downy. But the fact he doesnt care about the money just shows that he probably has some other plans in the end. I mean Freigns Blue has been around and there are probably a huge amount of criminal groups that want a piece of the pie if not the whole thing.

Walt calling Jessie out about being ONE of the TWO best cooks is bad, so bad. He basically signed his so to be death certificate. I mean he straight up said "hey, if you ever need leverage on one of us you know where and who." Although I will say Walt was right. Jessie needs to stay in the business. Hes already proved in past eps that he will just return to using and a crap life. Being a criminal and cooking gives Jessie that rush or therapy that keeps him from using. I mean same principle goes for people in the real world. Jessie though had a vindictive look when he left so Im sure unkindness will come about from all that. Yet, even when he tries to be crazy bad hes always would turn into a softy and panic during the whole situation and then screw up. And if he tries to run up on Skyler....Im sorry shes a big woman...Jessie has no chance of over taking her if she flexes on him.

Walt struck fear in the other drug dudes by bringing out that HE was the one to kill Freign etc. Fear came about and the Alpha dog asserted its dominance. The other guys didnt realize what was going on. Killing mike was awful...I was like ARGH NO! Yet you could see Walt acted to quickly and didnt realize what he was doing. I though ok, if he really is that angry and wants this then hes going to walk over to him and BLAM! to the dome, but he didnt. So yeah opps, way to go walt. This though will start some serious crap with Jessie cause Jessie is NOT going to be happy at all. Things will be going down hill from there. How will Walt explain it? He went to get the car. He was supposed to meet Mike. He was the absolute last person to see Mike. There is no way around this one.

I think thats all.

I was thinking Jesse and Skyler would leave in either mutual understanding or emergency, probably both. But I forgot your point about Jesse's reaction about Mike's murder. It's going to change stuff. They may even turn into snitches.

But somehow I always imagined the last episode would have Jesse and/or Walt in orange overalls and cell doors banging. For Walt it would definitely be worse than death.

I thought it was great/funny. When Mike and Walt got into the argument that ultimately led to Mike's death, it marked the first time Walt has killed someone purely out of anger. Every other murder he committed was justified in his eyes but he killed Mike in a fit of rage.

*Edit- ShortFuse, it's FRING! not freign haha

Jesse sympathizes with Skyler, he's essentially in the same boat, partner-turned-hostage. Hiding the methylamine under the car wash he looked back at her in a "feel her pain" type of way. I could see them teaming up to scheme something since both of them are now scared of Walt but are also both in too deep to snitch.

RIP Mike. Goddamn I'm going to miss him. I wonder if since he's dead will they bother to explain what happened in philly? Hopefully Lydia gets it next. She grates on my nerves.
