Drue_Down
MIIIIIITCH!!!! Going stir crazy, had to get the family out of the house 🏠 I used an iron for the first time since early March. I drove the family to downtown Phoenix, which typically is utterly worthless and empty, like the Chicago Loop on a weekend. The park we intended to walk around was under construction, so we walked around the surrounding blocks in the Historic/Arts District. Cool school building, PHX doesn’t have many historical buildings. Dope B&B across the street. The Historic District has palm lined streets with Victorian and other historical style homes, very rare for AZ. A few blocks away it’s all abandoned shanties & hobos pushing carts. The Roosevelt arts district is disappearing fast. These bungalows used to be full of art galleries/studios, artist flop houses, small bars, graffiti & head shops. They are being torn down and replaced with fancy glass buildings. These streets are home to First Friday art walks, which IMHO is the coolest part of Phoenix. The recession almost killed the entire area and scene a decade ago, I hope it doesn’t implode again. Also there is an annual Paint Phoenix graffiti fest in this area, I’m guessing it was cancelled this year. Sadly many of the past murals were buffed or demolished with buildings/houses. Westward Ho! Thankfully my favorite German bakery is still surviving, it’s hard for me to get good sausages these days. Shipped from Chicago, they were running low and out of stock on my favorites due to decreased flight shipping, I’ll be back on Friday when they re-up. IN N OUT BURGER. I don’t get it, I find the food basic. The line of cars was much longer 15 minutes earlier when I passed. Mainly because they filtered cars into the lot in a Z formation to enter the drive thu. As I drove by 15 minutes earlier it appeared that there was a major accident in the lot. How? I was gettin curb side pick up across the way, and the EMTs showed up. As I was leaving I saw that a pickup had a head on collision with a brand new BMW X5— these cars were barely crawling for 30 minutes, how the fuck did two cars hit head on at over 20 MPH?! I assume that speed as I saw the front of the Bimmer, it was all fucked up. I guess they drive like they choose to eat: clueless. My wife ordered a 128oz bag of beer. AZ liquor laws are non-existent right now, bars are selling cocktails to go, and it’s perfectly legal to drive with open containers. My shitty pizza was lacking sauce and cheese, so I went DIY on it. I exercised for an hour. Made a cocktail and did another hour. Now I’m oontzing and drinking with Patrick, my boy. It’s tempting, sooooo many underpasses in these washes, but this is the far north east burbs of Scottsdale & Phoenix, it’s totally pointless. There are a couple chill spots they only buff once a year, but what’s the point? Phoenix is 1/1000th of the graffiti scene that say Vegas is ( @SMdoubleXL) I’m the sticker bombing king by default since I’m the only one 🧐

Those days when work sucks, kids got you on the hop, wife is shitting up the wall. and you just have to take a moment to yourself. I'm looking forward to my new puppy being big enough to go for night walks so I can be the mid 40's invisible bomber with the stupid dog in the vest.
MitchThe$nitch
Outside of the heat, what’s the downside Of desert living? Covid has me looking at houses in New Mexico and Tennessee with the goal of being close to a national park or having a chunk of acreage. Looks real chill out there.

I'm just outside Asheville on 13 acres. It's amazing what land goes for here, was looking at a 90 acre parcel (10 flat/80 mountainside) bordering national forest for $240k last week. That's 30 minutes from town. Go out further and it gets better.

Whenever I visit a city -downtown is usually a destination. I like grimy ass downtowns -but Phoenix was the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Not a sticker or tag even. But Vegas also has a whole underground city which holds the majority of graffiti history down there.

SMdoubleXL
This momma goose took her babies (top left of this pic)up a boat ramp and got to a corner of the lot that she would normally just fly over the side but she had her babies with her. There were a handful of geese that came down river and the one in the water stopped right where he was, aligned with where she was but I don’t think they could see each other. He stayed right in that spot just staring up. she came closer to me with her babies near and walked around me -I might have been a bit nervous. IMG_6295.MOV IMG_6296.MP4 The others are swimming below and she walks with her babies onto this fishing spot (deck/dock/pier...?) . They are honking below-I thought to try to convince the babies to jump ...? IMG_6297.MP4 She walks off the spot and one baby jumps! the other follows her back then her dumbass jumps in the water, leaving the second baby up here all alone. myself and another onlooker look at each other like wtf are we supposed to do? FullSizeRender.mov they just continue to honk at the baby. well, I was putting this on my Snap and it stopped recording right before he jumped in -naturally IMG_6299.MP4 he jumped in and they swam back up river to their lil kick it spot IMG_6300.MP4 but look how proud he is IMG_6301.MP4 the end 3

The only Weasel armour that I'm aware of is a small tracked vehicle for reconnaissance or airborne divisions. The 'Weasel' actually looks more like a Ferret Scout.
