Seemed so peaceful. I walked around for hours and was in the north-western part of the city that just seemed so nice even though it seemed to be lower class. Everyone looked friendly. I'm SOOOOOO relieve to hear that the casualties were exagerated. Good thing he was a bad shot. one thing I read is that the montreal police are trained to handle things fast. Instead of the first officer on the scene securign the area, and waiting for SWAT, the guy is supposed to go in. Apparently the first cop in missed him with the first shot, and couldn't get a clean shot untill 4 other cops arrived. then they shot him. yikes.
