grim540
the bar I work at bought a house PA system, and wanted me to DJ via laptop which seems to be the trend if you dont want to pay for a real DJ. the only catch was I didn't want to play the shit that numbskulls are playing at every other bar.. I would play what I wanted to as long as it was dance worthy... 150 bucks and free drinks all night... fuck yeah now playing people every day -- arrested development... next up "numb" by portishead now taking requests... boogie hands
boo to laptop djs.....horray for easy money. i was joking with a friend about starting to dj with my ipod. seriously....what am i doing with 1200's and vestax mixers and actual records. i should sell that bullshit on ebay and get with the program. i could even start my own music site on myspace. ....actually, if i lived in williamsburg i probably would buy one of these. then id dress up all funny and be really ironic and kids who dont know shit about anything other than pbr and short sighted goals would fucking love me and give me tons of free coke. MAR
this is actually a cool idea... could you imagine hooking an ipod video up to this mixing movie tracks and conversations with other music? That could be awesome. dirty vegas- "days go by", followed by moby's "quiet pianos (b-side)" is a great outro.
