El Mamerro
^I second that. Shit was fucking amazing. I think the Tesser once made a thread about it.
fermentor666
Yeahhhhhh, that was a really good movie. I projected that at the theater I used to work at, was so great seeing it on 32mm. We'd get a noticeble amount of typical boring foreign cinema, including a lot of asian cinema tailor-made for the tissue crowd, but this one was a surprise. Really amazing cinema. Removed
Just watched this, Interesting for sure. Im always skeptical about these kinds of doco's though, the Director always has an agenda.
fermentor666
I want to see that. The directors in movies like that have an agenda and it's telling the truth. These people are horrible and it's a crime to not focus on that at times. It's like doing a WWII holocaust documentary and not saying that the Nazis were hellspawn, except not anywhere near as bad. The truth is always subjective my man. Generally the agenda is left leaning, which I have no problem with. Its just when people like Michael Moore lay it on a bit thick that it starts to create legitimacy issues. I think its good that lefty's have found a forum for reaching a general population, we are bombarded by right wing propaganda every day, if alittle left wing propaganda sneaks in, good! You're definitly right. Moore has done some damage to the credibility of these types of films because of his fact manipulation and self-congratulating. He could easily do a documentary on his subjects without all of that and still have it be at least as effective.

SukiSukiNow
Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Gyeoul Geurigo Bom aka Spring Summer Fall Winter and Spring Slow moving, quiet , yet mesmerizing movie in true buddhist form.. The more I describe it, the more I can ruin it for a first time viewer, so let me just say that it is a powerful movie that sparks the conscience, absolutely beautiful in terms of aesthetics and spirit.. Knowledge of basic principles of buddhism may be needed to grasp the meaning though that was a beautiful movie. you should check out memories of murder.
