i agree, i don't like most of his stuff, but from a musician's standpoint he is doing atleast interesting things. truly unique, maybe not. the modern music boom is reliant upon guitar, bass, and drums. occasionally keys find their way in there (i'm just going leave tables completely out...). i'm trying to find a good link for the band "the inchtabokatables" they were a german folk punk band that died around 02. on the album ultra they strayed from guitars and used cellos, violas, and violins to create some pretty awesome music. they kind of just sucked on most of their albums, but ultra was really fucking cool. i'm having no luck finding it online. my point would be--different sounds are out there, sure, they'll probably be placed into the same music theory we're using for everything else right now, but it will be atleast different to the ears...

i thought the horror movies full of gore were the good ones? shit. not everything's been done. i'm not a mike patton fan, but his projects continually push the envelope. various fusions have yet to be tried successfully. i dono, i'm not excited for the next trend... progressive music is out there to be experienced, but i don't see it being embraced by the millions.
