  1. i listened to 'all means necessary' earlier today. current--edguy--king of fools ep
  2. i haven't yet. i'm planning on it though, possibly in 2 weeks. depends on work demands. i have a 4 day coming up. i'd like to take advantage of that and spend a day or two up there
  3. burned out/fed up w/ bullshit. my last couple years were spent here i'll go back to it eventually i think, i've got a few years left in my current "gig" (haha). my passion is as strong as it ever was, skills... still sharp, but not as quick. also, getting used to electric ranges has caused me to cook less and less...
  4. i have a toshiba. it dls porn just fine for me.
  5. yeah. it was my life for a long time.
  6. it probably is. on occasion i make pear-tempura, its incredible with smelly cheeses.
  7. that i don't like. little kids... dogs i can forgive, little kids being brought up in filth with no education...
  8. sounds about right... dekalb wolfpack FTW. children of bodom--follow the reaper
  9. /\/\haha. i haven't listened to CB in a long time. nice.
  10. my american dream is to kill people from other places...
  11. last time would have been last winter. and it was more like 30 bean varieties, treated exactly the same--same seasonings, same boiling method. only difference was boiling time as some beans take all goddamn day and some only take a couple hours. obviously some beans are similar--they are all legumes and consist of similar protein values. a bean is equivalent to a fruit--those certainly have significant taste differences because of the plant they come from and from the soil they grow in, same goes for beans. i didn't want to take this thread seriously, but you drove me to it... used to deal with this company, awesome source for an incredible variety of beans. rancho gordo edit: additional list link
  12. that the unfortunate thing w/ domesticated animals--they aren't running away from these people, as far as "an animals conscious choice/decision" goes it seems like they are "choosing" that life. increased risk? i dono. lower standards yes, but people train hop a lot, accidents happen, but living in a suburban neighborhood w/ car traffic seems equally dangerous. i've lived in the sticks and seen people pets get run over/hit. same for the cities i've lived in.
  13. no. various mineralities, starch levels, sugars, textures... this is just ridiculous.
  14. very nice. one of my old bartenders was amazing with these shapes. he helped me develop a caffeine dependency. he told great stories about hopping trains and his experience with ted bundy.
  15. rebel--i'm pro animal rights as much as i can be for eating meat, but in the same way i don't think humans need to get medical help for everything, i don't think animals are meant to live forever. they get sick. they die. they get infections and have a horrible time... survival of the fittest... its not inhumane to say science need not be applied to everything... cool images. i usually hate these people on a personal level, but i do envy their freedom from time to time.
  16. yeah. i only get splints on long, slow runs (army does these for some reason... i see no benefit...). i've learned a few stretches over the years that minimize shin pain, so its very rare these days.
  17. certainly, but i atleast think its fun. running i don't enjoy that much. plus i occasionally get shin splints which makes me like it less...
  18. it depends what you want out of running. endurance or speed. you can have both... i don't know what your 1 mile time is. mine sucks (7:10), but i can run at that pace for 6 miles and not be destroyed at the end of it. (just to clarify: this isn't impressive/good i know, it functions as an "average" example though) if you don't enjoy running try swimming...
  19. Re: Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit Thread - no homo nah man, you can eat almost everything off of those guys. you don't gut any fish from the top, center of the belly in most cases.. only thing i can figure is he was just chopping for bait. which is still the wrong way to go about it...
  20. Re: Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit Thread - no homo i don't understand why you'd butcher an animal in the water like that... looks like dude is just fucking with an animal for fun. asshole. sharks are delicious sometimes.
  21. i know. i was a cook/chef for about 10 years. i butchered for about 5 years of that... i know my animals (also for the 10 years in restaurants 7 were vegetarian (2 years of that vegan)) being a non-animal eating butcher was very interesting sometimes.
